Don't forget to utilize the Tzadikim who have left our world as tools to assist you in your Tshuva as preparation for Rosh Hashana. I can hear you say it now, How do we do that. Go to the Yeshshem website and click on the Hilula inquiry on the right side of the website - then click on the list of Tzadikim for the month of Av. Just follow the instructions. Each of these Tzadik and Tzadeket are waiting to assist you. Don't loose this opportunity it can not come again in the same way because today is no longer today. Soon we will start to hear / know the Shofar. Yet you can do the work of Tshuva prior to this. Ask the Tzadikim for help! Do your hear thier answer. It is a resounding YES. This week the Parasha is Re'eh which means SEE!. It is the only Parasha that uses one of the 72 Names of God as a name for the Parasha. It is in the last row of the chart - ראה. Also the verse makes perfect sens without the word Re'eh. Therefore we need to understand why this word is being added to the first verse when it truly is not needed? What is the spiritual message? Let's explore and find out! The Kabbalah teaches us that this world - the physical world is one of illusion. This means what we see is not truth. The message of this Parasha is learn to SEE truth. This means SEE through the illusion to see the Truth. To do this we need to understand what is truth? Kabbalah teaches that we are all one soul, with the ability to receive endless goodness and with the ability to share endless goodness in return. Don't beleive me? That is all right. I did not say this. The sages say it and i know they speak truth. It is up to you to determine for yourself if they speak truth. That is why people study Kabbalah. To be able to SEE Truth! Since, based on the description above everybody is the same, what makes me different from the person next to me in this endless vessel. The answer is your desire to receive. You are created as a desire to receive and only you have this unique desire to receive. This means that you are unique just like the person next to you is unique. So what are we both supposed to SEE? You both are supposed to SEE that along with that unique desire to receive comes a similar desire to receive. That similar desire to receive is that person has a STRONG DESIRE TO GET CLOSER TO THE CREATOR. That is what this Parasha is teaching us, providing we are willing to learn! There are 19 spaces in this Parasha. This is the number of years in the Hebrew Calendar cycle. 19 represents 10 Sephirot in the Female and 9 Sephirot in the male (who is incomplete without his wife). Why is the universe made this way? So that we can SEE the connection between 1 soul being in 2 halves (male and female). And from this, we can learn that while we are different (male is not female) we can have the same desire to receive - to be closer to the creator. If one reads the first verses of this Parasha, one learns What is a Blessing? And what is a Curse? The Curse is "to not follow the commandment (in the singular)". That does not sound like a curse - does it? What is the Blessing ? "To follow the Comandment (singular)". Again it does not sound like much of a Blessing! does it. Yet if one is willing to SEE one learns that the blessing is the process we call Life! and the Curse is the process that shortens that process - we call it death! Is it that hard to SEE? Please strive to SEE it. It is truly beautiful once you reach this level of consciousness the Kabbalists call SEE. Now lets look at another verse that teaches us to SEE. Please look at Chapter 14 Verse 2. This is one of the most misunderstood verses in all of the Tanach. The typical English Translation is: For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be His own treasure out of all peoples that are upon the face of the earth. This translation is absolute CORRUPTION that comes from ignorance. Segol is being translated as "treasure" when it really means the 3 column system. It is the same word and name for the Hebrew vowel with 3 dots with same name Segol. The vowel sounds like EH. Its name is Segol just like the word that is only used once in the Torah in this verse. Let's look at the translation again. Who is the Holy People? The Hebrew does not say! It says you are a Holy People. What makes a people Holy. Removing impurities so that one may become Holy. That is the process. Are you willing to Remove your impurities - meaning become a better person today than you were yesterday. This will cause you to SEE because the impurities you remove remove the veils that do not let you SEE with them. Finally, i ask you to think about a simple question that we do not ask ourselves. We know that HaShem asks us to come to Jerusalem 3 times a year. Once for Pesach than 50 days later for Shavuot and finally 4 months later for Sukoth. Why does he ask us to come to be SEEN by him? Does he not know where we are? It is not so that we are seen by him but so we can SEE him. The message of the Parasha at the first verses and again at the last verses and all the verses in between. is SEE! Kol Tuuv Shabbat Shalom Enjoy the Reading! P. S.
