Week of May 10, 2009 Shabbat Behar Bechukotai,Iyar 22, 5769 | |
---|---|
This week is again a double portion. It has the Portions of Behar and Bechukotai. Behar means From/on the Mountain. It teaches about the Shmitta Year and the Jubilee Year. Bechukotai is translated as "you will follow my decrees". It includes the Blessings and Curses and appears to be a promise of payment for doing what HaShem wants. This is not a correct understanding. HaShem does not reward or punish. HaShem only shares his beneficence with us. The Blessing and the Curses are teaching us about the spiritual and physcial laws of cause and effect. In Fact, The ARI Rabbi Issac Luria teaches that these Blessings and Curses are actually talking about the Laws of Reincarnation. Including being reincarnated into a Stone or other immaterial object, or being reincarnated into the Vegetable Kingdom, or being reincarnated into the Animal Kingdom, and finally being reincarnated into a Human Being. Behar has 57 Verses which represents the Hebrew word Zan ??. Zan means sustenance or Parnasa. Our livlyhoods. This is the essence of the Parasha of Behar. From this we can understand why God appears to challenge us to challenge him to provide our Parnasa during the Shmitta Year and even more so during the Jubilee. BeChukotai has 78 verses. The number 78 represents 1) the sum of all of the numbers from 1 to 12. Since 12 represents the signs of the Zodiac it represents our physical world. 2) The word Lechem or bread has the same Gematria of 78 and therefore represents our physical world being fulfilled by the spiritual worlds.3) 78 represents the ???? times 3. Right Column Sharing - Left Column Recieiving and Central Column Balance between the two. Actually this Shabbat we read 135 Verses which represents ???? which means God answers. 135 also means Adam Melech - Adam's King. Lets try to understand what is a Blessing and What is a Curse. When we feel pain and suffering we "know" that this is not a Blessing. When we are Happy and fulfilled We "know" that this feeling of fulfillment is not a Curse. Is this correct? Now lets look from a higher perspective. We are feeling pain and suffering, but once it ends we realize that i needed to learn a lesson which now allows me to become fulfilled to a greater extent. We all have experienced things like this in our life. It felt painful why i was going through it but once it was over i saw it was the best thing that could happen. When we are happy and fulfilled do we become complacent and stop preparing for the next step which causes us to be unprepared for the things that come into our life. Was the fulfillment a Blessing or a Curse. Again we all have had experiences where we felt it was a Blessing bringing Happiness but we did not prepare for what happened after that and therefor it actually was a Curse. A specific example of this is the story of the man who had a business appointment in another town where he needed to take a plane, and he expected to have a big sale from the meeting. When he arrived at the airport he missed his plane - What a catastrophe what a curse. On the way home he heard on the new the plane crashed and all abourd were killed. What a blessing. Do you see the Blessings in the Curses? or do you live in the physical world and look to "SEE" Blessings manifest prior to you knowing that they are really there. The spiritual law being taught in these two Parashiot is there is no difference between a Blessing and a Curse. Everything is an opportunity from God and our job is to be happy with waht comes. This is a very hard lesson for people to "see" and learn but an important one. when you Look for your personal Mashiach which must come to you before the Quantum Mashiach Ben David can manifest, you will find him in the Curses which are really Blessings. When you are happy with something that feels like a Curse and exactly the same happiness when you have a Simcha - that is your personal Mashiach energy. Remember the Mitzvah of Purim. Drink till you can not tell the difference betweeen Bless HaMan and Curse Mordechai. There is no difference between Mordechai and HaMan. They are part of Hashem's plan in bringing Mashiach.
