Welcome to the new year of REVEALED WISDOM and also to the new format for our weekly emails. Please realize that there are many comments we have made which reveal wisdom in our previous emails. It is highly recommended that you click on the links at the end of this email to see our previous emails and our new section titled Parasha Stats. It is worth the look!בראשית Beraishit Summary 5772 The Parasha of Beraishit is both the beginning of the Torah and the beginning of Creation as we perceive it. The Parasha consists of 6 chapters covering the following subjects: The seven days of Creation, The creation of Adam and Eve, the seduction of Eve by the negative system and Adam's response, The birth of Cain and Able and their 3 Sisters (Abel had 2 twin sisters which were his "Beshert" and Cain had one sister which is his "Beshert"), Man's geneology until the Birth of Noach, and finally the relationship between Man and Unidentified Flying Objects, which is the modern term for what is introduced in Chapter 6. For additional information about any of the above subjects see previous years emails in the links below or send an email to yeshshem@hotmail.com. The essence or energy of the Parasha Beraishit has the essence of creation. According to Kabbalah we were put into this world to learn to become co-creators with the One Creator we call Hashem. An aspect of becoming a co creator with Hashem is to learn to transform ourselves through sharing without an expectation of receiving back. We learn this from this Parasha of Beraishit. This means that the word Beraishit, which is in the Torah and the Parasha refers to multiple beginnings. In fact Kabbalah teaches that the world begins (renews) at every instant. Wether we are following the guidelines in the Torah or not Hashem renews the creation every instant. Can we learn to follow this attribute of the creator? To not become disappointed when we have an expectation that is not fulfilled immediately. Try to model this attribute of Beraishit Today, this week, This month, or even all of this year! A Deeper Kabbalistic Analysis of the Word Beraishit Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai wrote the Tikunei Zohar which is an explanation of the 70 faces of the word Beraishit. Included in these essays he explains that Beraishit also has the word Rosh which means Head within it. Also Beraishit means In a beginning as much as it means In the Beginning. Ponder that difference for a while. Please click below to read the previous years emails on Beraishit. Each year builds on the previous one to enhance your understanding and connection to the Torah Reading on Shabbat morning. There are a million questions one can asked about the first Aliya of this reading. Lets start with just one. Our sages teach that the first verse and the second verse are out of order. Here are the first 2 verses in the Torah.בראשית ברא אלהים את השמים ואת הארץ IN THE (a) beginning God created the heaven and the earth. והארץ היתה תהו ובהו וחשך על-פני תהום ורוח אלהים מרחפת על-פני המים: Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters. Do you see what the sages saw? The words Tohu תהו and Bohu בהו, translated as unformed and void; logically the second verse should come before the first verse referring to the creation of the heavens and the earth. Why did Hashem reverse the order of these verses? The answer is clarified by looking at the gematria of the letters and words. Verse 1 has 7 words and 28 letters. The second verse has 14 words and 52 letters. The number 7 relates to the lower sephirot which are active in our physical world. 28 spells the word Coach כח which means strength or force or power. 14 is a number that indicates manifestation and 52 is the number that represents the lowest Sephirah Malchut. Malchut translates as Kingdom but can easily be seen as meaning manifestation as a Kingdom is where the King manifests his desires. So why is the verse that describes the creation before a creation written second and not first? One reason, in my opinion, is that the first verse is more important than the second. The first verse is showing the creation of the lower Sephirot, while the second verse is showing what happened prior to this creation. Heaven and earth are code words for the 6 Sephirot called Zeir Anpin (small face) and Malchut, the 7th Sephira. The important aspect is the creation of the Sephirot which occured prior to the creation of the worlds that ended in the condition of Tohu and Bohu. This reason, the Sephirot actually were created prior to the previous worlds to ours and therefore the logical view is proven incorrect. The first verse is actually the correct first verse, in my opinion. How does that help me in my life today? In any of my creations i need to remember that the process is more important than the result. This is a very deep secret and also a very important view of the physical world. I hope you will remember it all during the balance of this year and into all of your future years which Beesrat Hashem (with the help of Hashem) will be many years and joyful years. A Deeper Look at the verse located at Chapter 6 Verse 1 It is my intention during these weekly emails to look at a deeper analysis of a single verse from the Parasha. The verse i am looking at this week is: ויהי כי-החל האדם לרב על-פני האדמה ובנות ילדו להם And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, This verse actually, according to some of the commentaries, indicate the coming of different entities not of the human species. We call them UFO's and the like in our modern vernacular. This verse consists of 11 words and its acrostic is: וכההלעפהויל. This acrostic technique is a known Kabbalistic technique to dig deeper into the various verses in the Tanach. Enbedded into this sequence of letters there are various words. Some of them are Hashem; vessel; strong; arrogant; as well as certain of the 72 Names of God as well as the 72 Names from the Tzadikim. Some of these words are positive and others are not. The words that are negative can be overcome by being aware of the attribute and being careful not to let that manifest in your life. This applies to the arrogance that were displayed by the children of the "fallen angels" and the daughters of men. They did not overcome this attribute but we have that opportunity today. Remember each verse is speaking to you and every other person in every generation. The number 11 is related to the 11 components of the incense. The incense is used as a tool to bring us closer to the Creator. Included in these 11 components is a component that by itself smells horrible when burned. This teaches us, according to the wisdom of Kabbalah, that the negative side is a necessary component in creation. Yet even as a necessary component the negative aspects must be controlled and not allowed to run rampant in our perceptions and attitudes. How will you control your negative aspects in your life during this coming year? Have a beautiful balance of our Holidays and Enjoy the reading on Shabbat.
