Greetings! There are 4 spaces in this week's Parasha called Chayai Sarah. The translation of this name is The Life of Sarah. Sarah is both a name and a Shoresh in the Hebrew Language. As a name it means Princess. As a Shoresh it connects to many words including: to immerce; to steep; to soak; to prevail; to rest; to dwell; to rescue; to struggle; and to rein. This Parasha has the following stories within it. The Purchase of the Cave of Machpelah as a burial site. The process of finding and choosing Rivka the bride of Issac our Patriarch; The continuity of Hagar's conversion into the women called Keturah and the continuity of the nations that came through she and Avraham. The listing of the 12 children of Ismael including the death of Ishmael. These stories do relate to the 4 worlds and the essence of Techiat HaMaytim - The resurrection of the Dead. Not everybody accepts that as possible. Some people expect it as a miracle; some people expect it as a natural growth of the technology of medicine. Actually all of these statements are possible depending on your consciousness. Just as our undersanding of the parasha of Lech Lecha is describing the journey of the soul into the body of our physical world. The stories of this Parasha are describing the journey of our soul and our bodies into the next state of consciousness called by the sages "the world to come". "This World" and "The World to Come" are states of consciousness. They do not refer to the physical world or a future world. What is a state of consciousness? It is a boundary and a limitation one puts on oneself and ones thoughts. We live in a time where no one needs to die! We live in a world that has no limitations and everyone is able to receive all that they need for their joy and happiness. Do you accept this? probably not. It is hard to reach that level of certainty without help. That is what this weeks Parasha offers us. The help to connect to the level of certainty that there is no need for death or end of any type. Relationships - no need to end in pain and suffering or divorce; Financial - there is no need for a business to go into bankruptcy or be unable to pay its obligations; Health - there is no reason for someone to leave this frame of existance by dying or even coming down sick. How does one reach this level of consciousness? By sharing with others; by not doing things for ourself alone. By sending Blessing to others without the expectaton of receiving them in return. This is how the system that HaShem created works. Most people want to see it first and then they will follow it. The study of Kabbalah will bring you to a level of consciousness where you can know that this is the way the system works and not have to see it first. For 2000 years the Jewish World has not studied the Zohar except for a few "righteous" individuals. the reason that no one was "allowed" to study the Zohar is due to the system that most of us follow: If i see someone else with joy and happiness, i want it also. On one level they represent the negative aspect of the Astrological Mazelot. Hearing them gives you protection from these impacts. On another level they have the following Gematria in the order read.462, 310, 46, 388, 456, 61, 347, 16, 457, 225,440, 155. When one converts these numbers to Hebrew Letters and permutes these words one will create a protection shield for oneself. An example is the first word. It is Taf Sameck Beit which comes from the Shoresh Sameck Beit Beit which means "to encircle or to go around". This implies a border which can be viewed as the negative encircles the positive or as a protection shield against the negative. The choice of consciousness is yours. There are 4 spaces in this week's Parasha called Chayai Sarah. The translation of this name is The Life of Sarah. Sarah is both a name and a Shoresh in the Hebrew Language.
