Also if you are interested to host a teacher to yeshshem@hotmail.com. The Parasha for this week is Chukat. Chukat comes from the Shoresh CHok. There are at least 6 words in Hebrew that can be translated as Law (Hok, Mishpat, Halacha, Minhag, Din - spelled Dalet Yood Nun Sofit, and also sometimes the word Torah itself). In Hebrew there are no synonyms. That means each word has a different inner meaning expanding or explaining the meaning of Law. A Chok is usually explained by the Commentators as a law that we do not understand and which we would not normally have law as part of our society. The commentators quote Shlomo HaMelech as explaining that even though he is the wisest of men this (Law of Parah Dumah) is far from him. This implies that we just can not know it. We just can not understand it. Kabbalah teaches that this is not true. Everything is known if we are willing to cleanse ourselves sufficiently. This means raise our consciousness through the doing and learning about the Mitzvoth and Torah. The Zohar even explains what Shlomo HaMelech meant by his words that imply "that it is far from me". So lets learn about the Chok of the Parah Adumah (Law of the Red Heifer). When we read the first and second Aliyot (plural of Aliyah) of this Parasha, it is quite clear what the law is. The Priest slaughters a Red Heifer in a Kosher manner and in an approved ritual and the ashes can be used (and were used and according to the Prophets will be used again) to remove the Tumah (impurity) of death. So what is not known about this Law of the Red Heifer? Simply this. No one answers the question Why does the person who is involved with the Red Heifer ritual become impure if the ashes remove the impurity of death? I am not going to answer the question because it will become clear to people who choose to work spritually toward this level of consciousness known as Mind Over Matter. This is the energy of this Parasha. Each of the items written about deal with this level of energy. The items in the stories told in this Parasha are: 1)Chok Para Adumah (Law of the Red Heifer) 2) Death of Miriam and the stopping of water from the Rock. 3)Moshe not speaking to the Rock but hitting it. 4)An attack by Amalek in the form of King of Arad a Canaanite King. 5. Not being allowed to enter Edom to cross to the Land directly. So there is a short detour. 6. The detour caused some complaints by the Children of Israel which caused a plague that is cured by the fiery serpent on a staff. 7. The mention of a no longer available Sefer (Book) called "the Book of the Wars of HaShem". 8. Israel singing yet another song of Praise for God. 9. The war against Sihon King of the Amorite. 10. The war and death of Og king of Moav which Moshe feared unnecessarily. Perhaps this is one of the reasons that there are 10 spaces in these 87 verses. Lets discuss No 3 and why this is about Mind Over Matter. The story goes like this: HaShem speaks to Moshe and says "gather the people (so that they will see this Miracle), speak to the rock, and tell it to bring forth water". Moshe gathers the people and hits the rock twice and the water comes forth. Moshe and Aron are "punished" for not following HaShem's directions exactly. The Zohar explains to us that Moshe was not punished, we were. We were by not letting Moshe enter the Land. The Zohar explains that if Moshe had entered the Land the Children of Israel would not have been able to handle the Light that would be revealed by Moshe in his role as Mashiach. The Zohar explains that "seeing" something like water come from a rock because someone speaks to it would have been so unbelievable to the majority of the Children of Israel that they would not have been able to see the water come out of the Rock and therefore - for them - there would be no water. Please reread the above Paragraph till you think you understand it. From this point on - These are my teachings as i have not read or heard of them elsewhere. This does not mean they are not true, just that to my knowledge no one else teaches them. There is a Midrash that teaches that there are to be 7 periods, each of 7000 years. From another Midrash it is taught that there were 974 generations prior to Adam. Moshe was the 26th generation from Adam. Therefore this generation which is known as the "Generation of Knowledge" - Dor Deah, is the 1000th generation. Most sages teach this truth. The ARI says that this is the last cycle of 7000 years and the balance of the 7 cycles do not have to manifest. Moshe heard HaShem tell him to speak to the rock. Moshe "looked" at the generation and evaluated that most of the generation would not "see" the water. The spiritual distance between hitting the rock (an action) and speaking to the rock (a higher level not considered action) was too great for the people to achieve and therefore they would not be able to exist in a universe based on the consciousness of Mind Over Matter. The majority of the generation of Dor Deah would have to die and come back reincarnated during the other cycles. Those who were able to reach this level of consciousness would have completed their Tikune in this cycle. (Proof is that they were able to "see" the water if Moshe had spoken to the Rock and also if they were not able to "see" the water they would not have been able to live within a universe that worked on the principle of Mind Over Matter). Think about what a universe that works on the principle of Mind Over Matter would "look" like. It would be similar to the Endless World in that as soon as a thought of a lack starts the fulfillment is created and satisfies the lack. Therefore there is no lack. Most people today would not like to universe. There is no chaos and also no excitement and wonder. The 974 generations that were before Adam were made up of the Endless Vessel also. Just as we are. These souls were also us. The Rambam teaches that the inner essence of our Stars and Planets in this cycle are made up from those souls who achieved their Tikune in the last cycle. Perhaps the souls who achieve their Tikune in this cycle will also be reincarnated into the next cycle as the inner essence of the Stars and Planets that happened to the 974 generations before Adam. Moshe therefore chose to shorten the overall process of 7 cycles by lengthening our cycle to its full 7000 years (which allows more of us to complete our Tikune). He (Moshe) did this with 2 decisions he made for us. One he took the Erev Rav out of Egypt with the Children of Israel and this action of hitting the rock. To understand this issue of "Why the generation of Dor Deah could not understand how water can come from speaking?" even when they had seen the miracles of the Egyptian Plagues and all of the other Miracles and Wonders performed by Hashem and Moshe for them, we need to understand one of the reasons why the Kabbalah is being taught to everyone in our generation when even a few hundred years ago it was still being concealed. A Metaphor i have heard to understand this is imagine a peasant of the 1700's living in Eastern Europe. He farmed or share cropped his land. Paid his taxes. Listened to his Rabbi. Had his children and generally lived his life happily. Of course there were all those progroms in the next community. They did not affect him until they actually did, when the Pogroms came to his town. Now bring this person and his consciousness into your office with your computer and play for him a You Tube video. Or even sit him down and ask him to change the channels on your television set. Imagine his thoughts. His amazement. His fear. Perhaps his fear, emotions, or just plain inability to understand will cause him to be unable to "see" the Television or You Tube video. This is the same effect that some people experience from being in War, Rape, and other traumatic events. They can not perceive the world as it truly is. This is the level of the generation of Dor Deah. This is where we still are, as we are the generation of the Dor Deah reincarnated. Now that we have these modern marvels and can understand them, use them, and enjoy their benefits, why do we still not think that Moshe, or even you or me, can speak to the Rock and bring into the world water? Remember the "clap it" unit. The item that let us clap our hands and turn off the light in the living room. This is an example of Mind Over Matter in our world coming from our modern technology. Actually this is one of the lower levels of this level of consciousness called Mind Over Matter. When will you strive to "see" the spiritual and physical worlds united? This is Mind Over Matter at its highest level. I hope you will utilize this Parasha/reading to start to grow your consciousness. By the way, there is no guarantee that Moshe was correct. There is a universe that sees the water flowing from the rock because the Mashiach/you speak to the rock and there is a universe that had many additional cycles for us to learn. Which universe do you want to create? Which one will you manifest in your life? When will you start to study Kabbalah? As promised for each Parasha this year. Please look at Chapter 21 Verse 30. There is a dot over the word "Asher" which can be a name or translated as the word "which". The normal translation for this verse is as follows: We have shot at them--Heshbon is perished--even unto Dibon, and we have laid waste even unto Nophah, which reacheth unto Medeba. These place names can also be "seen" as levels of consciousness. Heshbon means calculate; Dibon can be hand of manifestation; Nofat can be "to blow" or "to exhale" relating to volume; Medeba can be seen as "from a donation". The verse can then be seen as meaning "Your calculation will be lost unless you exhale your donation." Perhaps i am wrong! You will never know unless you start to study Kabbalah! Please! Start Today to study Kabbalah. Read the Zohar (scan it if you can not read it) even (especially) if you don't understand it. Let the Hebrew Letters do their job (to transfer metaphysical energy and assist you in your transformation to be a better person today). Anyway, what is the meaning of "exhale your donation"? Think about the idea of exhaling being related to speaking! Remember donation is usually considered Tzedaka (charity). Also Tzedaka saves one from Death. (Paraphrased verse from the Zohar, Psalms and the Talmud). Therefore, this verse can be understood as the benefit of your Tzedaka will be calculated when you learn Mind Over Matter.
