This week is Shabbat Tezaveh and also Shabbat Zachor!
There are 101 verses in this Parasha. The code word given to us is Michael. The Angel Michael does many things but they all are related to one thing. He acts as the High Priest in the upper worlds, but that is related to the essence of Chesed - Mercy.
This Parasha - on the story level continues the building of the Mishkan by describing the building of the clothes of the Priests and High Priest. It also describes the continuity that is built into the family of the High Priest Aaron and his descendants.
Many of the Rabbi's also comment about the missing Moshe in this portion. Nowhere in the portion do we find the name Moshe. this is not true in any other portion from the beginning of Shmot till the last portion of Bamidbar. Where is Moshe in this portion? the Rabbi's explain that Moshe when talking to God about not killing the Jewish Nation and starting over with him said to God - Take me out of the book you have written. So God did so! He removed the name Moshe from the protion of Tezaveh.
So what is the essence of Tezaveh? we learn that even the curses of Tzadikim are manifest as part of the plan of creation! Is this a punishment? It can not be as Moshe was not at fault in the building of the Golden Calf. He was on the mountain. Aaron according to the Zohar had good intentions so why is Moshe removed from the section having to do with the High Priest?
Another question that is taught by Kabbalah - Does God want us to do things because we are commanded - yet in this Parasha he uses a word that says Command yet Kabbalah teaches that Command is a form of idol Workship.
So this Parasha has 101 verses to teach us it comes from the frame of Mercy and by being connected to Mercy it comes as an approach of the cure coming before the disease. Idol worship is the disease. the clothes of the High Priest come as a vaccine of the many sins that lead us to Idol Worship. From Lashon Harah - ego - vanity etc. The listening and of course studying about the clothes of the High Priest we can prepare our vaccine for the doing and falling to the level of idol worship.
Also there is a spiritual lesson about criticism that is taught in this Parasha. It is our responsibility to reprove someone when they are doing wrong. Yet we learn from this Parasha's message of pure olive oil that only when we are pure ourselves can we reprove someone for their wrong actions.
Most people critisize someone as a way of belittling them or making themselves feel superior. If someone truly loves another than he would only point to someone actions as being incorrect if his consciousness about this action was pure. If it is not in you - you can not see the action. If you see someone doing something wrong than know that it is an action that you have not yet cleansed fom within yourself!
Let's discuss some interesting aspects of Shabbat Zachor. The Shabbat that is named from the essence of Memory. The Halacha says every man women and child is required to hear this reading which always occurs before the Holiday of Purim. This is not true of any other reading from the Torah. Why? the second item has to do with understanding what is this issue of remember Amelek and what he did to you on the way?
Amalek is a nation that is part of the nation of Esav. It represents the worst part of the nation of Esav. It represents the essence of doubt. When someone doubts - one can not acheive! WHAT IS IT ONE CAN NOT ACHEIVE? Anything! Without certainty one can achieve nothing! We hear the admonition to Remember Amekek to use as a vaccine to connect to the energy of Certainty.
Purim is the Holiday of Mashiach! The only reason the Mashiach did not manifest during the process of the Holiday of Purim is that not all souls had found thier way into theworld as of yet. Therefore Mashiach manifested in the Jews who were in the world at that time but not in all souls.
The Halacha is teaching us to Remember Doubt and connect to Certainty as part of the understanding of the Scroll ( Megillah) of Esther. Esther comes from the same root as the essence of concealted and Megilla comes from the essence of Revelation. Megillah Esther (part of the ritual of Purim) means to reveal the Concealed. The name of HaShem is nowhere to be found in the Megilla Esther but of course all of the process described shows how HaShem plans and implements it all using all of the tools available to him. Why don't you use all of the tools available to you - including the Tools of Kabbalah?
