The Name of the Parasha is Tezaveh. It is also the only Parasha that Halacha (Very strong suggestions sometimes translated as Laws) says every man, women (including pregnant women), and child must Hear this Parasha.
Also it is rather strange to read this discussion about Amalek since we just heard this same Part of the Torah in the Parasha of Ki Teitzei which we heard Last Elul. We also heard a similar reading only one month ago in the Parasha of Beshalach and now we are hearing it again as part of Shabbat Zachor along with this very strong reminder from the Halacha.
What does all of this mean? The word Zachor means "Remember" in Hebrew and interestingly it means Male in Aramaic. Kabbalah teaches that Male means sharing which is one of the essential attribute of the Creator. The Zohar also teaches that Remember is a codeword for the Spherah of Yesod. Yesod represents the Male Creative (sexual) force called Zeir Anpin. Zeir Anpin is a metaphor for the Vav (channel of sharing) in the Tetragramaton.
These verses that are the special Maftir reading (we read a Maftir eah week - usually the last part of the weekly reading. This week we read a totally different section from the Torah) on this Shabbat relate to the nation of Amalek and the eternal war between HaShem and the nation of Amalek. The Gematria of Amalek is 240 which is also the Gematria of the word Safek (doubt) in Hebrew. This reading comes on the Shabbat before the reading of the Megillah (scroll) Esther and the Holiday of Purim.
Purim translates literally as "lots" as in throwing dice to make a decision. It refers to an action by Haman during the Exile to Babylon in which he threw lots to decide the date of the Jewish Destruction. Megillah comes from the Shoresh (root) that means Revealed. Esther comes from the Shoresh (root) that means hidden or concealed. When we read the Megillah Ester on Purim we are receiving the "Revelation of the Hidden". Our sages teach that "while there is no place in the Megillah that the Name of God appears on the surface, each time the word HaMelech (The King) appears without also saying Achashverosh, it refers to HaShem. It is the Kabbalistic Minhag (custom) to not use a grogger or noisemaker but it is recomended that the reader stop at each Name of Hamen and meditate upon the 72 Name of God Caf Hay TAf which is essentially a laser like energy that destroys evil. The reader is also asked to stop at each HaMelech so that the congregation can visualize HaShems name Yood Kay Vav Kay.
Putting all of this together, We need to hear the reading of the Maftir on Shabbat Zachor to receive a vaccine against doubt. Doubt is one of the items that disconnects us from HaShem.
Ultimately, the Zohar says, A blade of grass does not grow without an Angel hitting it and telling it to grow. This spiritual law explains that there is no thing outside of HaShem. As such HaShem is always working to provide for our phsyical and spiritual needs. Hearing the Megillah allows us to connect to the revelation of the concealed Hashem. It is important to know that HaShem is still acting in our best interests even if we don't follow his suggestions in the Torah.
There is no such thing as coincidence. Coincidence implies doubt and a lack of certainty. There is only HaShem recreating the universes each instant with our best interest in mind. When we understand this we connect to certainty. Since the physical illusionary world does not let us see these connections it is easy for us to fall to doubt and loose connection to certainty. This is why we need to get a vaccine from/against falling into doubt. Then we can "see" the revelation of the concealed HaShem in the Megillah reading and receive our injection of the energy of certainty.
And then we must do the work each day to reconnect to certainty in our lives and not let the enemy of Hashem - doubt creep back into our consciousness.

There are 10 spaces in the Parasha Tetzaveh. This indicates that it is a complete structure unto itself. The Kabbalists teach us that 10 Sephirot represent a complete structure. Read on to understand what is the structure about.
This Parasha does not have the Name of Moshe within it. Not even once. Every Parasha (once Moshe is born) starting with the Book of Shmot (Exodus) until the final Parasha of Sefer Bamidbar (Numbers) has the Name of Moshe except this one. The sages point out that Moshe said to HaShem - Take me out of your book if you don't forgive the Children of Israel for building a Golden Calf. Every word/prayer of a Tzadik is granted and manifested by HaShem. So HaShem took Moshe out of the book (Parasha) of Tetzaveh. Most people think of this as a punishment but it is actually the structure that is hinted at with the 10 spaces of this Parasha.
How does one REVEAL the CONCEALED? Moshe Rabeinu is a unique soul. His higher soul is the Angel Mettatron who is connected to the soul of Chanoch Ben Yered, the Man who walked with God. There are teachings in the Zohar indicated that Moshe will be the ultimate Redeemer just as he was the First Redeemer in Egypt. In Most years the Parasha Tetzaveh is read on Shabbat Zachor and is also the Shabbat prior to Purim.
In the Purim story who is the Redeemer? Is it Esther or is it Mordechai? The essence of the Purim stoy is about certainty when it is physically easy to believe doubt. The Essence of the Purim story is to know that HaShem is with us. Even when our physical perceptions "see" otherwise. Would anyone have placed a bet that Sara would have a child at the age of 90? Would anyone have bet that Jacob would leave Lavan afterr 22 years? Would anyone have bet that Pharoh would send the Jewish slaves out of Egypt thereby impoverishing the whole Egyptian nation? Would anyone have bet that the Children of Israel would have more students studying Talmud and Learning Torah 50 years after the Shoah than before the Shoah? These are just a few of the periods in History where the physical conceals the Hand of HaShem.
The lesson of Parasha Tetzaveh is to learn the spiritual law. Less is more in the physical world. The Name of Moshe does not appear not as a punishment but as an opportunity for us to Reveal the Concealed! By not hearing the name of Moshe we can connect directly with the totality of the essence of Moshe the First and Final Redeemer. Are you able to Redeem yourself? Are you able to redeem yourself from the phsyical limitations and "See" the Hand of HaShem in action in the phsyical world? That is what is the opportunity during this Parasha and the week after when we hear the Megilla Esther.
I direct your attention to Chapter 28 Verse 13 and 14. The usual English translation is (13)And You shall make settings of gold; (14) and two chains of pure gold; of braided craftsmanship shall you make them, of wreathen work; and you shall put the wreathen chains on the settings.
These two verses can be considered one unique story. They have a space before them and a space after them and thus are considered one subject. These 2 Verses have 18 words and 72 Letters. 18 is Chai whih means Life. 72 is the Gematria of Chesed which means Mercy. It is also related to the Sephira of Chochma which is translated as Wisdom. The Kabbalah teaches that Gold represents the consciousness of receiving in the frame of precious metals. The spaces before and after represent the Light of Hashem and serves as a balance to the Desire to Receive. In essence, these two verses are coming to give us a unique vaccine against idol worship and strenghten our connection to living a Wise Life.
Each verse in this Parasha is a unique vaccine for some aspect of our physical world. Please, Please, Please, go out of your comfort zone this week. Invite your friends, (A child of Israel or not, Your family, your extended family, anybody to which you have connection) to hear this Torah Reading and the Megilah Reading that follows Motzei Shabbat. It will (may) save their soul journey from some chaos in this year. It may even allow them to see HaShem in the illusion of our physical world.
