Greetings!

The name of the Parasha is Vayigash which translates as "and he approached" - actually "and he will approach". Try reading these stories using the metaphors as explained by the Zohar. Yehudah as King of the Nation of Israel is a metaphor for the physical world. Joseph HaTzadik is a metaphor for the Spiritual Worlds. Therefore when Judah approaches Joseph the Physical world is being raised to the Spiritual World. This is the time of Mashiach. This is the manifestation of unity in our worlds.

There are 2 spaces in this Parasha. They represent the forces of Sharing and Receiving which on one level appear to be different but at the time of Mashiach we will come to understand that receiving for the pleasure of the creator is sharing. If you do not understand this concept please continue your study. I also refer to the Yiddish Word Nachus or the Hebrew Word Nachat.This concept is hard to understand until you have a grandchild. At each stage of your grandchilds physical, and spiritual development you feel proud and many other emotions including love. Ofwhat do you have to be proud? What did you do that caused your grand baby to learn to crawl? This is Nachat - this feeling of happiness and joy because your grandchild is growing. Just because it is your grandchild and just because it is growing and developing. These words can not do justice to the feeling of Nachat. It like HaShem must be experienced because it is not on the level of Binah (Understanding) - it is on the level of Chochmah (Wisdom).

How does one acheive unity with the Creator? When you become a Creator or Co-Creator you acheive unity with the Creator! This is a purpose of the physical world. How does one acheive unity with the spiritual world while living in the physical World? By meditating with the Letters of the Holy Language. This tool causes a unification between two spiritual entities (actually 3 - You in the physical world, you in the spiritual world, and the essence of the Letters you utilize). Dreams are a low level of this tool. Visualization is another tool in this process. Conscious meditation is an even higher tool!

Another method of achieving unity with the Creator is to acheive a level of consciousness called Vahavta LeRaiAcha CaMocha or Love your Neighbor as Yourself. The tool to acheive this level is called Human interaction or Life as we know it.

When one treats another human being with dignity one has started on the process of growing into the consciousness of Loving your Neighbor as Yourself. There are many levels of consciousness between dignity and Love your Neighbor as Yourself. Doing Cheshbon HaNefesh (Soul Calculation or evaluation - the process of reviewing your actions from this day and determining if they were good or needs improvement in the future) each night or day is a way of evaluating where you are with each of your mirrors in life. Your mirrors are all of the people you interact with each day and night. As you evaluate your actions with each of your mirrors each day, using the ruler of the Torah, you come to realize how to improve and raise your consciousness with each of your mirrors.

Putting this into daily language, How did you treat this person today? Was it with Love or Hate? Was it with Love or mistrust? Was it with Love or Fear. Was it with Love or another emotion?

Learning Unity is the energy that will enter your life with the coming of Mashiach. Lets do it when its easier to do. Today before Mashiach comes!

In this portion, i will not direct your attention to 1 verse but to a story section of verses. Please look at Chapter 46 Verse 8 to 27.

There are many questions that can be asked about these verses. The answers to these questions teach us spiritual laws and also give us information that we can use in our lives.

Question 1: why do i need to know the names of these children of Jacob? It could have said Reuben had 4 sons; Shimon had 6 sons; etc. This would have been less Letters and we have a tradition that teaches us there are no excess letters in the Torah. Each is there to teach us something.

Question 2: The Torah tells 70 people went down to Egypt with Jacob. Yet only 66 went with him because 2 were already there. If we include Jacob there is only 69. So why does the Torah lie (Has V'Shalom)?

Rashi - the foremost Commentator who lived in the 1100's of the Common Era in France, explains that the Torah does not lie (Question 2 above). His answer is: There was one wife of Levi who was pregnant with the child that became the Mother of Moses. This is Jocheved. She was conceived in Israel but born in Egypt and so is counted among the people who went with Jacob down to Egypt. From this information we learn the laws relating to abortion as well as answering Question 2.

By studying the names of the children of each Head of the Tribe, we learn different Midot or characteristics of this Tribe. These will help us find the 10 lost Tribes as well as help us learn the Astrological influences that effect us during the months for which each Tribe is the chariot or channel.

There are many other questions one can ask about these verses. Please do so and send me your questions to answer if i am able.

Remember there is no space at the end of this Parasha. This means that there is a direct connection within the physical world between the words Vayigash (approach or came near) and Vayechi (Life). What does it mean to you to "Approach Life"? By hearing this reading you will connect "approaching life". To understand this we must come to understand what does "Life" mean?

A Mahashall or Metaphorical story teaches us what does Life mean! One person "lives" all of his life in one day! While another person lives 70 years without any spiritual growth. The Talmud and the Zohar teach the second person is called dead even as he walks the physical world of earth. The first person is calling a Living person all the days of his life.

Don't forget to Study Torah on your own during the week. 2 minutes a day or more if you want. The more one studies the less chaotic will be their life!

I will not prove this statement to you! i ask you to experience it for yourself. Please! Study each day for 6 months the Zohar and then evaluate your life situation. If it is less chaotic - keep studying! The choice is yours!
