In case you missed the information about the First 14 days of Nissan i have repeated it in this email as well. If you have visited the site and made your choice to participate in the ritual then skip past the first five paragraphs of this email. If you have decided not to participate Has V'Shalom please reread these five paragraphs. It is truly important for us all to utilize the tools of Kabbalah in our generation. Before we discuss the Parasha for this week, i have the opportunity to reveal some amazing information that is taught by the ARI - Rabbi Issac Luria of Blessed Memory. the ARI is the foremost MeKubal (Kabbalist) in the last 500 years. In his teachings he explains that the First 13 days or 14 days (in leap years) of Nissan provide the opportunity to take control of all wars that will be held in your life during the coming 12 months. On the First day the wars of Nissan; on the second day the wars of Taurus; on the Third day the wars of Sivan and so on through all 12 days and months of the year. War means all struggles and conflicts within you and without you. Between you and your Family, Neighbors, Business Associates, and all of your acquaintances. Most important is the conflict within you regarding your desire to receive for yourself alone. This year is especially important because there is an Astrological event that occurs once in 28 years. The sun returns to the original site of its creation on the 4th day of the week (the day of its creation). This happens once in 28 years but this year it occurs for the third time on the 14th day of Nissan. This has happened before in History. On the night of the Exodus from Egypt and during the events described in the Megillah Esther during the days of Purim in Persia. The rituals associated with the Teachings of the ARI for Nissan can be located at the Nissan Link. (http://www.yeshshem.com/Holidays/Pesach/Initial%20Link%20for%20email.html). i do hope that you all will try the ritual to see how it works for you. It only takes a few minutes each day during the first 14 days of Nissan which commences with Rosh Chodesh Nissan on March 26,2009. This weeks Parasha is the first in the month of Nissan. It is always the first in the month of Nissan. The energy of Nissan like all months has two aspects one positive and one negative. The positive aspect of Nissan is the essence of Sharing; the negative aspect of Nissan is the essence of negative wars and battles. Most Rabbi's dread the opening of the Book of Vayikra or Leviticus because the physical subjects are truly hard to fathom in our modern world. The subject is animal sacrifices. Which we don't do and many people do not think will return even if/when the Temple is rebuilt as is Prophesized. The Mekublim is overjoyed with the book of Vayikra because He / SHe knows that this is an opportunity to connect to our true desire and to use the energy of the readings to strenghten our passion for our true desire. Every person has a True Desire to get closer to HaShem. Some have this desire to receive his beneficensce and others have it to give pleasure to HaShem by receiving his Beneficiense. In either case the Parasha of Vayikra has to do with Passion. It strenghtens our passion to get closer to HaShem by sacrificing our animal or lower aspects of ourselves. Our base drives when used to get closer to Hashem are elevated. When we sacrifice these same drives by controling them we get closer to Hashem. The reading of the parasha assists us in this portential. Most Rabbi's will speak about the unusual Aleph - it is small and many people teach that it is indication of the Humbleness of Moshe who did not want to write the letter normal size. What most people don't realize is that there are five Aleph's in the first verse of the Parasha which is also the first Verse of the Sefer Vayikra (Book of Leviticus). These five Aleph's represent the five books of Moses and the smaller Aleph is meant to remind us that the Keter or Beraishit is both the vessel and the light which is a Melocket among the Mekubalim. They ask is Keter a Sepherot or not. Some say yes and some say no. I will leave you to research this Meklocket for yourself as it will lead you to a stronger connection to HaShem. The number of verses in the Parasha and the code words from the Sages reinforce what is written above. There are 111 verses in the portion of Vayikra. The code words are Dalet Ayin Vav Aleph Lamed and Tzadi Yood Vav Hay. The first word can be underst]ood as His Knowledge of God. The second word can be understood as the "fleet of Vav Hay (the lower worlds)." Just to give you some additional insights as to how animal sacrifice brings us closer to HaShem. The first sacrifice speaks about cattle - the Mekubalim explain that this refers to the energy of death or end. Which is why we sacrifice the Parah Aduma (Red Heifer) to cleanse us from the energy of death. Sheep and Goats refer to the energy of ego and when we sacrifice our sheep and goats we reduce our ego. Ego is what seperates us from HaShem the most. Ask anyone who truly meditates. Birds are the third type of offering discussed. This helps us remove the desire to recieve for oneself alone.
