Time Period: Purim to Pesach through the Omer to Shavuot

Initial Preparation and Information

This class will prepare us for the time period from Purim to Pesach through the Omer to Shavuot. We will prepare ourselves on many levels including the simple - Pshat as well as the Sod - Secret level. This is a series of classes. The period covers many high energy days as well as lower energy days along with many regular energy days.

These classes are designed to prepare our students for the spiritual connections associated with the following Holidays and Energy Times:

This series of classes is designed to Prepare our students for the spiritual connections associated with the following Holidays and Energy Times:

Zion Adar or the Hilula of Moshe Rabeinu followed or preceded by

Shabbat Zachor and the Parasha of Tetzaveh followed by

Purim followed by

the first14 days of Nissan followed by

Pesach and its Seder followed by

The counting of the Omer followed by

The Holiday of Shavuot.

This period of time takes 90 days this year. It commences with the 7th day of Adar, which is the evening of February 27 2023 and climaxes on May 27 2023 with the second day of Shavuot. Each one of these 90 days are high energy days some of which are higher than other days.

The purpose of this period is the Gift of the Torah. The purpose of this period is to prepare ourselves for the energy represented by Shavuot and the Gift of the Torah.

Gift of the Torah

The Gift of the Torah or Matan Torah in Hebrew is a return to the consciousness of Adam Before the Sin.

What is the difference between the consciousness of Adam before the Sin and After the Sin?

Our Sages teach that the effect of the Sin is the introduction of the energy of Death. So the essence of these 90 days is to remove death from our consciousness. This is expressed by the phrase Bilah HaMavet LaNetzach. This is spelled בילע המות לנצח. This is usually translated as “Swallow Up Death Forever.” A more literal translation would be “Conceal the Death Forever.”

This more literal translation is actually hinted to by the word swallow. When we swallow something we bring it into ourselves. We do not destroy the thing we swallow we utilize it while we conceal it.

How will we utilize Death after we swallow it will be explained during these classes.

The regular gematria of Belah is 112 while the small gematria is 13.

The regular gematria of HaMavet is 451 while the small gematria is 19.

The regular gematria of LaNetzach is 178 while the small gematria is 18.

The total of the regular gematria is 741 while the small gematria is 50.

The word Amen, when using the final letter gematria has a gematria of 741. As we know the energy of the word Amen is the unification of the spiritual and physical worlds.

An acronym for the 4 elements Alef – Air; Mem – Water; Shin – Fire; and Tav – Earth also have a gematria of 741.

We learn from these two gematriot (plural of gematria) that when we unify the spiritual and the physical worlds with all of the aspects of the 4 basic elements of Water, Fire, Air and Earth we actually "swallow death forever" which brings us back to the consciousness of Adam Before the Sin.

We also learn from the small gematria of 50 that this happens when we reach the level of Binah. Binah is a Sefirah that is referred to as the Energy Store. Binah is also called Mother. This level of consciousness is the antithesis of End or Death. In other words when there is sufficient Light or positive energy there can be no limitations, which is what we call death. Actually, Death has always been an illusion created by the effect of the Sin of Adam and that is part of what we need to prepare ourselves to receive: The knowledge that death and limitations are illusionary.

Zion Adar or the Hilula of Moshe Rabeinu

Moshe was born on the 7th day of Adar. He also departed on the same day and tradition indicates that he departed exactly 120 years to the minute after his birth. Why did he leave on this day?

There are a number of reasons that Moshe left on this day. One of the significant reasons has to do with the fact that the 7th of Adar is 37 days after Rosh Chodesh Shevat. We are taught that Moshe Rabeinu started to admonish the Children of Israel on Rosh Chodesh Shevat. That is the Sefer Devarim of the Torah. That is all of the Parashiot of the Book of Deuteronomy. What is the significance of the number 37 and how it relates to admonishment?

Admonishment is an important Mitzvah. Why? When one “sees” a Member of the Tribe doing something that according to the Halacha is incorrect they need to attempt to stop the person without coercion from doing this incorrect act. Failure to do so indicates acceptance of the action as correct and some of the chaos attributable to this act manifests in your life.

Admonishment is a difficult Mitzvah to master. One must first obtain the level of consciousness of Vayahavta Leraiacha CaMocha – Loving your Neighbor as Yourself. This is because one must “Love “ the person doing the incorrect act prior to admonishing them. Without that Love, the admonishment can not be heard, according to spiritual law. Without that love admonishment is considered coercion which is its own negative action.

37 is the gematria of the word Hevel spelled הבל which means breath as well as vanity as in the Book of Kohellet saying “vanity of vanities” which is the word Hevel. So 37 is a hint to the 7 lower Sefirot of this physical world.

Another explanation of the number 37 is it relates to the concealed part of the Name of HaShem at the level of Binah.

In my opinion this is the reason behind why the period of time we are entering starts on the 7th of Adar. Hevel hints at the idea of the concealment associated with the Holiday of Purim.

Parasha Tetzeveh - Leap Years Parasha Tzav

The reading of Tetzeveh, like Terumah, is part of the cure before the disease. The disease is the building of the Golden Calf. The cure is the Mishkan and the Priests including their garments who work/serve in the Mishkan.

The reading of Tetzeveh, on a physical level describes the 4 garments of the Priest along with the 8 garments of the High Priest called "Kohen (Priest) Gadol (Top, Head, Large, Big). (FYI - the secular phrase - Big Kahuna comes from the Hebrew Kohen Gadol). Each of these garments just by being worn by the High Priest caused the cleansing of certain negative actions that were done by various sins performed by everyday people.

Do you think a Tikune can ever again be that easy? Let me explain what this question actually implies. Almost everyone does some aspect of idol worship at one time or another in their life. After all, Idol Worship is being unable to let go of some physical item in favor of doing your spiritual work. An example is money. People go to work to earn money. At one time or another they (people) go to earn money instead of doing their spiritual work. Perhaps is something they do not realize at that moment yet it is still considered building an Idol.

In the days of the Temple each time the High Priest put on the Ephod the vest which was worn over his robe and tunic any actions of idol worship that had come into existence since the last time he wore the Ephod was cleansed. Meaning the person never even realized he was building an idol when his addiction to that idol was removed. Today we have to consciously decide to let go of our addiction to the idols we build. THIS IS WHAT WE LOST WHEN THE TEMPLE WAS DESTROYED. And we truly do not even know what we are missing.

When speaking about missing something there is a truly remarkable energy that is missing from the Parasha of Tetzaveh. That is the energy of the Name of Moshe. The midrash explains that the only Parasha where the name Moshe does not appear is Tetzaveh from the moment he is introduced in the Torah in the Parasha of Shemot until the final Parasha of the Torah Zot Bracha. Moshe appears in 41 of the last 42 Parashiot of the Torah. He is missing in the 8th Parasha of his appearance. As students of Kabbalah we should recognize the energy of these numbers:

42 is the energy of the Ana Bekoach or Creation.

41 spells the word Em or Mother also known as the Sefirah of Binah.

8 is also the Sefirah of Binah which is both the energy store and the Mother.

So why is Moshe missing or is Moshe missing? The midrash explains that after the sin of the Golden Calf Moshe made a conditional statement. If you destroy the Children of Israel, (Even if you rebuild the Nation from me), take my Name out of the Book that you have written (The Torah). According to the Midrash, all statements of Righteous People are manifested since a Righteous person always does what is Right. It may sound like a curse but it is truly a Blessing. Since, in my opinion, this statement of both Moshe and HaShem was manifested in one of the earth plane dimensions and all of the Torahs are the same throughout all of the earth plane dimensions, Moshe was removed in the Parasha of Tetzaveh.

In Kabbalah we are taught the spiritual truth that "less is more." When the Name Moshe does not appear MORE of his energy, his essence is available to us. Since this reading of Tetzaveh is always Shabbat Zachor except during leap years, this additional aspect of the energy of Moshe is made available to us.

Remember the Halacha says that the maftir of Shabbat Zachor which is a Reminder of what Amalek did to us on the way should be heard by every man women and child of the current generation of the Children of Israel. This additional energy of Moshe becomes available when we need it. To Assist us in our preparation for the Holiday of Purim which is necessary for us to remove the doubts (see below) we all experience in order to manifest the energy of Freedom associated with Pesach and the Seder. Always remember that the energy of Pesach is the same as the energy of Shavuot including the Counting of the Omer. Shavuot's essence is "Bilah HaMavet Hanetzach" or "Swallowing Death Forever." From all of this "logic" we see that we need the Parasha of Tetzeveh with the missing Moshe in order to achieve the consciousness of removing death which is the secret of Mind Over Matter.

May we all experience this (at least at the seed level) this Shabbat. Remember Seeds grow into Trees. Perhaps even the TREE OF LIFE.

Shabbat Zachor

Shabbat Zachor is the second of the four special Shabbatot leading up to the Holiday of Pesach. Two weeks ago was Shabbat Shekalim which we discussed in Parasha Terumah.

Shabbat Zachor is a reminder to read the special 3 verse Maftir describing the War against Amalek on this Shabbat. Above we explained why it is read with this Parasha. Now let us truly understand why this Parasha of Tetzeveh, the Maftir of Zachor, the Haftarah of the war of against Amalek all are required listening prior to the Holiday of Purim.

Purim is a word that translates as "chance" its actual meaning is "LOTS" which in our generation would be called Dice or probably the "game of dice" known as CRAPS. Please look at how our language hints to us about the energy of things but we do not pay attention.

To understand this connection directly please follow the logic expressed next.

Amalek the nation has a gematria of 240. The Hebrew word Suffek translates as "Doubt" also has a gematria of 240. The city name Los Angeles when spelled in Hebrew also has a gematria of 240. These 3 words are connected through the essence of Doubt. The nation of Amalek is the essence of doubt, even a channel to us for the energy of doubt. This is why HaShem is at war with Amalek throughout every generation since the essence of HaShem is Certainty, while the opposite of HaShem is Amalek the channel for Doubt.

What is Los Angeles known (famous) for throughout the world? HOLLYWOOD! What is the energy of Hollywood? And the entertainment industry? They create illusion just as Doubt creates illusion. This is why Los Angeles - Hollywood has this industry called "entertainment" that is famous throughout the world. What is your city famous for? What is its energy? This will hint to you about an aspect of your Tikune!

What is wrong with having doubts? So what if it is the opposite of HaShem's energy. All of us have doubts so what is wrong with that which is human? Yes, it is human but we are not in this world to remain human. We are in this world to grow spiritually to a level that is beyond Human that is beyond even the Angels. We are in this world to become closer to divine. That level is called Mind Over Matter. In order to manifest Mind Over Matter we have to have certainty that we can do that. It is not that we will see ourselves doing some Mind Over Matter effect and then we will know that we can do it. We must know that we can do it in order TO DO IT. This is why HaShem is at war with Amalek. It is an aspect of his mercy to teach us what we must do. That is to grow to the consciousness of Mind Over Matter and the first step is to remove doubts. To realize and perceive the world not as luck or chance but as strict cause and effect even if we can not perceive the cause we must know that there is a cause that comes from the spiritual world that we can not perceive. That is the energy in those 3 verses of the Maftir of Shabbat Zachor.

The Holiday of Purim

One aspect of the Holiday of Purim is reversal. When things look like they are going to go one way and then they are reversed by the circumstances - this is reversal. In a football game the team is marching down the field in the final minutes and it looks like they will score the winning touchdown when the star halfback fumbles the ball and it is picked up by the defense who races back upfield and scores a touchdown that clinches the game. This is the energy of reversal. Purim as we will discuss is all about reversal. Freedom is all about reversal as we will see when we discuss Pesach. Even the Omer and Shavuot is all about reversal.

The Holiday of Purim starts with the Fast of Esther which this year occurs on Thursday February 25 2021. It is a sunrise to sunset Fast. Many people teach that the Fast of Esther is done to help celebrate the Holiday of Purim. After all, the scroll of Esther (which tells the story of Purim) describes a 3 day Fast which Esther requested of the Jewish people in those days. Kabbalah teaches that there is never an action done due to history. All of the actions done around our Holidays is done to increase our connection to energy.

The Fast of Esther is ended after the Reading of the Megillah Esther which starts as soon after sundown as possible. The Fast of Esther is a spiritual cleansing in preparation to receive this energy of certainty that we get from the reading of the Megillah (Scroll of) Esther. That is why we do not end the fast until after the reading of the Scroll, in order to directly connect the cleansing of doubts to the receiving of the energy of Certainty

The scroll of Esther is actually called Megillat Esther. When we look at the shoreshim, the roots of the words Megillat and Esther we find that this phrase means the Revelation of the Concealed.

The name of the Holiday is Purim which means "Lots." What is a Lot and what is the plural meaning of Lots? To understand the meaning, the energy of Purim we need to understand the meaning of Lots.

The word Lot is referring to the rolling of dice. The midrash teaches that the infamous villain Haman, rolled dice to determine the best astrological day to kill the Jews. That day turned out to be the 14th day of Adar, according to Astrological rules and the laws of chance.

Let us take a moment to discuss the laws of chance. The Hebrew word is Goral spelled גורל. The gematria of Goral is 239 which when added to the Colel of 1 equals 240 the same as the gematria of the Nation of Amalek and the Hebrew word Sufek – Doubts.

In scientific language lots are the laws of probability. These laws are said by science to operate as the cause of the motion of sub-atomic particles. These are connected to the Uncertainty Principle Theory of Modern Science. This principle will be changed since it is not valid across all dimensions. In my opinion.

In spirituality there are mechanisms called Goralot. These mechanisms work by asking a question of the universe and then turning to a page in the Tanach or the Talmud or some other Holy Spiritual writing. Then the writing on that particular page will answer your question.

There are also Books of Goralot that use a particular number to connect to a paragraph with that number to answer your questions.

In all cases the Gorolot work because there is never chance in any aspect of Creation. The Torah begins by saying Beraishit not Baraishit. This is to show us that the Creation is continuous yet discrete. What this means is each instant the Universe is recreated balancing the consciousness of all human beings and their desires to fit within the physical laws of this particular universe.

In reality everything is known and preordained within the law as of each particular world, universe, or dimension. There can be no doubts. There never is chance. Even miracles follow a particular set of “natural” laws that apply to miracles.

Yet there is free choice. As to what universe we will all choose to be within. Thus, in the present universe there can be uncertainty and doubts. The purpose of which is for us to push past and reveal the Light of the Creator. Learn the process of the Creation by realizing that there is no uncertainty or doubts – Only perfection and Certainty.

The true purpose of the reading of the Megillah is to connect to the energy of certainty and to protect ourselves from falling to the energy of doubt. In order to connect to certainty and avoid doubt it is necessary for people to reveal the concealed HaShem.

HaShem has chosen to conceal himself in our world. He must be revealed by our actions. The name of HaShem does not appear in the Scroll of Esther. When we read the surface level of the Scroll and KNOW that HaShem was active in all aspects of the miracle of Purim, both the mundane, and the Holy aspects, we connect to the energy of certainty.

Why does HaShem choose to conceal Himself?

In earlier generations HaShem interacted directly with our forefathers, and the Prophets. Yet as our actions became more and more negative HaShem chose to remove Himself and conceal Himself in our world. Yet this is a false explanation. It is easier to understand using a metaphor of a parent and child. The parent helps the child learn to walk by holding him up and making sure the child is aware of his help. Then as the child gains a greater ability to walk the parent stops holding him and watches him walk. The child might turn around and be comforted by the appearance of the parent watching him walk. This gives the child confidence so that eventually the parent goes into the other room concealing himself from the child. This is how a child becomes an adult and learns to do things for himself. That is the purpose of our world. We are being given the power of Creation and must become wise in its use or become a adult and not a child so that one day we might also become a parent of our own child. This is actually the reason HaShem has concealed himself. We should no longer need to see Him to have the confidence to use the powers of creation He has given us. The Megillat Esther helps us reach that goal.

Costumes and Parties

It is a minhag - a custom to dress in costumes during the reading. What is the connection to a costume and the Holiday of Purim? Essentially it relates to Revealing the Concealed. Where was HaShem during the events? Where is HaShem in our lives? HaShem is concealed. HaShem is in costume. So we emulate HaShem and become someone or something that can be revealed just as we hope HaShem will reveal Himself and manifest Mashiach in our lives, in our time, and in our world.

There is also a minhag - a custom to drink and become intoxicated on Purim, because we are supposed to reach an elevated state of consciousness where we can not tell the difference between the two phrases Bless Haman and Curse Mordechai. NO, I DID NOT WRITE THAT INCORRECTLY! This elevated state of consciousness is one where we are able to see that curses or negativity is also a tool of HaShem. It is part of the plan of Creation that negativity exist and be utilized by mankind. Not to harm but to benefit. I bless you and curse you with this consciousness so that you will understand this paragraph on Purim.

Here is a hint. A blessing uses words. A curse uses words. What is the difference?

CONSCIOUSNESS! Mordechai the hero and Haman the villain are both tools of the Creator.

There is another minhag that is different for the Kabbalists than for almost all of the rest of the Jewish Nation. In most synagogues the children and adults bring groggers to make noise and drown out the Name of Haman. In Kabbalistic synagogues there is absolute quiet when Haman's name is read. Instead each person is meditating on the 8th of the 72 names of God. This is the word Caf Hey Tav כהת. This name acts like a narrow focused beam of Light, like a laser that destroys negativity. Haman is demolished by this meditation. After all, Haman is a descendant of the nation of Amalek.

MITZVOT FOR PURIM

There are 5 Mitzvot connected to the Holiday of Purim.

1. Hear the Scroll read twice - once in the evening after a day fast and once in the morning on the day of the Holiday. The time of the Conference Call reading will be Thursday evening -------- 2023 at ------- PM West Coast Time. There will not be a Conference Call Reading on ------- Morning reading on ----- 2023 at 7:00 AM West Coast Time as has been in previous years. [ We will NOT have Purim Scroll Reading for Shushan Purim if it falls on Shabbat..] .

2. We need to "Give Gifts to the Poor." This is a very special Mitzvah, in my opinion. What is the idea of Gifts to the Poor? The poor person is all of us who have lack. We only give gifts to people we consider our equal which is who we consider our friends. To give gifts to the poor is demonstrating the consciousness of equality of people. Do you consider yourself greater than someone else? Do you consider yourself lower than someone else? What does it mean to be equal to another person? Have you reached this level of consciousness? Are you able to understand the idea of Gifts to the Poor?

3. We need to celebrate the Holiday with a festive meal.

4. At this festive meal we also give gifts of food. This is unusual in that the foods must be of two different types, and this giving is done through a channel. It means one person gives to another by asking a third to be the delivery person. This creates a circuit of energy consisting of the basic pattern of our creation. The tree of Life using Kabbalistic language or the atom using scientific language. The basic pattern of creation is 3 components, as follows: A sharing person, a receiving person, and a third person who balances the two by being the intermediary between the two. This mitzvah is very important and it is important to understand what it truly teaches us.

5. The giving of the 1/2 Shekel for the upkeep of the Temple. Most people think that this Mitzvah does not need to be done since the Temple is destroyed. Yet it does need to be done since the giving of the 1/2 Shekel does much more than keep the Temple repaired. We have to realize that the Temple does not wear out just like our clothing and shoes did not wear out while walking in the desert. The meaning behind this action is our certainty in being able to use Mind Over Matter. This is implemented when we unify all of the worlds by living the consciousness of certainty in control of our physical world. The Kavenah when we do this action is truly important. The ritual according to the Kabbalists is to elevate 5 silver coins from the Table representing Malchut and the world of action to the level of our eyes representing the world of Atzilut. Please do this action at your home or synagogue and have the Kavenah of unifying all of the worlds so that we can reveal the Light of God in our physical world. That is how we reveal the concealed. Then make a donation to a truly poor person. I suggest yeshshem@hotmail.com as a truly poor person.

What is the story in the Scroll of Esther?

There are 10 Chapters in the Megillat Esther. This connects to the 10 Sefirot. Most people if they think about this would indicate that the first chapter is Keter and the 10th is Malchut. Yet we must realize that this world of ours is upside down and thus the Sefirot relationship is in reverse. Chapter 1 is Malchut and Chapter 10 is Keter.

Chapter 1 – Sefirah Malchut

Ahasuerus, ruler of a massive Persian empire, holds a lavish party, initially for his court and dignitaries and afterwards for all inhabitants of the capital city Shushan. Ahasuerus orders the Queen Vashti to display her beauty before the guests. She refuses. Worried all women will learn from this, Ahasuerus removes her as queen and has a royal decree sent across the empire that men should be the ruler of their households and should speak their own native tongue.

Chapter 2 – Sefirah Yesod

Ahasuerus then orders all beautiful young girls to be presented to him, so he can choose a new queen to replace Vashti. One of these is the orphan Esther, whose Jewish name is Hadassah. After the death of her parents, she is being fostered by her cousin Mordecai. She finds favor in the king's eyes, and is made his new queen. Esther does not reveal that she is Jewish. Shortly afterwards, Mordechai discovers a plot by courtiers Bigthan and Teresh to assassinate Ahasuerus. The conspirators are apprehended and hanged, and Mordechai's service to the king is recorded.

Chapter 3 – Sefirah Hod

Ahasuerus appoints Haman as his prime minister. Mordechai, who sits at the palace gates, falls into Haman's disfavor as he refuses to bow down to him. Having found out that Mordechai is Jewish, Haman plans to kill not just Mordechai but all the Jews in the empire. He obtains Ahasuerus' permission to execute this plan, against payment of ten thousand talents of silver (which the King declines to accept and rather allows him to execute his plan on principle), and he casts lots to choose the date on which to do this—the thirteenth of the month of Adar. On that day, everyone in the empire is free to massacre the Jews and despoil their property.

Chapter 4 – Sefirah Netzach

When Mordechai finds out about the plans he and all Jews mourn and fast. Mordechai informs Esther what has happened and tells her to intercede with the King. She is afraid to break the law and go to the King unsummoned. This action would incur the death penalty. Mordechai tells her that she must. She orders Mordechai to have all Jews fast for three days together with her.

Chapter 5 – Sefirah Tiferet

On the third day she goes to Ahasuerus, who stretches out his sceptre to her which shows that she is not to be punished. She invites him to a feast in the company of Haman. During the feast, she asks them to attend a further feast the next evening. Meanwhile, Haman is again offended by Mordechai and consults with his friends. At his wife's suggestion, he builds a gallows for Mordechai.

Chapter 6 – Sefirah Gevurah

That night, Ahasuerus suffers from insomnia, and when the court records are read to him to help him sleep, he learns of the services rendered by Mordechai in the previous plot against his life. Ahasuerus is told that Mordechai has not received any recognition for saving the king's life. Just then, Haman appears, to ask the King to hang Mordechai, but before he can make this request, King Ahasuerus asks Haman what should be done for the man that the king wishes to honor. Thinking that the man that the king is referring to is himself, Haman says that the man should be dressed in the king's royal robes and led around on the king's royal horse, while a herald calls: "See how the king honors a man he wishes to reward!" To his horror and surprise, the king instructs Haman to do so to Mordechai. After leading Mordechai's parade, he returns in mourning to his wife and friends, who suggest his downfall has begun.

Chapter 7 – Sefirah Chesed

Immediately after, Ahasuerus and Haman attend Esther's second banquet, at which she reveals that she is Jewish and that Haman is planning to exterminate her people, including her. Overcome by rage, Ahasuerus leaves the room; meanwhile Haman stays behind and begs Esther for his life, falling upon her in desperation. The king comes back in at this moment and thinks Haman is assaulting the queen; this makes him angrier than before and he orders Haman hanged on the gallows that Haman had prepared for Mordechai.

Chapter 8 and 9 – Sefirot Binah and Chochmah

The previous decree against the Jews cannot be annulled, but the king allows the Jews to defend themselves during attacks. As a result, on 13 Adar, five hundred attackers and Haman's ten sons are killed in Shushan, followed by a Jewish slaughter of seventy-five thousand Persians, although they took no plunder. Esther sends a letter instituting an annual commemoration of the Jewish people's redemption, in a holiday called Purim (lots).

Chapter 10 – Sefirot Keter

Ahasuerus remains very powerful and continues reigning, with Mordechai assuming a prominent position in his court.

Kabbalistic Understandings of the Megillat Esther.

General Comments

Whenever the word King is used without the Name Ahasuerus it refers to both the King Ahasuerus and to HaShem the King.

Along with the above teaching, please remember that each verse in the Tanach is speaking directly to every soul in every generation. This means that the Megillat Esther is teaching US in our generation. The story is not a historical event. It is happening today to YOU. Who are you today? Mordechai exhibiting strong values no matter what the illusionary consequences. Esther, the woman who is forced to do things that she fears but ultimately rises to the occasion. Haman the man who lives by chance and ultimately falls by chance. Acherverous the opportunist who follows the victor in any conflict, or one of the other players in the drama of life?

History is a continuous example of the spiritual law of the Turnaround or the Turnabout. Here is a midrash that begins to explain this spiritual law.

1. We are few, how can we ever hope to become a people again? But Avraham and Sara bore Yitzhak in their old age.

2. We are poor and downtrodden in our exile; how will we ever be able to lift up our heads again? But Yaacov made a comeback.

3. The exile has been so long, and we are scattered and abandoned, how can we ever hope to be restored to our former greatness? But Yoseph was elevated to ruler ship over all of Egypt...

4. HaShem has hidden His Presence from us, exiled us from our land and become disgusted with us, how can we ever hope to come back again? But Moshe was abandoned in the Nile, only to be “found” by Batya and finally to become the Redeemer of Israel...

5. We have no more purity of lineage, how can we hope that He will gather us in again and rest His Shechinah on us? But Ruth was a convert, so she didn’t have any “lineage.”

6. We are down and out, more than any other people, how can we ever hope to get it together? But David suffered so much ridicule before he was finally anointed...

7. We are exiled to all four corners of the world; will we ever come back to our land and attain nationhood again?! Especially since (the Yeffe To’ar adds) in Yemen and Ethiopia we are considered the lowest slaves? But Yehoyachin was taken out of prison after 37 years...

8. We are weak and afflicted with suffering, how can we get it together to become strong like other nations, heal our wounds? But Hananiah, Misha’el and Azariah were saved from sure death...

9. We are sunk so low in our sins, we have so few merits, how can we hope to be worthy of His Graces? But Purim was the ultimate Turnabout. Though we were not deserving, we were saved!

In sum: There is hope! HaShem will redeem us, preferably by our returning to Him on a higher level, through our willing Teshuvah.

From this Midrash, we learn that such sudden “turnabouts” in circumstances are not random, isolated instances or mere chance, but rather glimpses of a LARGER PATTERN and a RULE of HISTORY. Basing ourselves on the concept of a hazakah, the establishment of a rule based on something happening three times, we see that this is a Threefold COSMIC RULE that is always operative, never inoperative.

This has awesome implications. When, therefore, we see our people (or ourselves) beset by troubles, we are justified in seeing them as preparatory for some breakthrough. This is certainly the essence of the Purim Story, wherein Haman’s rise to power is not only preparatory for, but actually precipitates the end of the Babylonian exile and the building of the 2nd Temple.

Chanoch's Commentary

There is much to learn here. This rule of law of the Turnabout will apply to the Palestinian People as well as the Terrorists of today. Please note for your information the only help the spiritual people of the world have is HaShem. And according to the above Midrash HaShem has set up the Turnabout.

This turnabout will reveal that these Terrorists and the Palestinian People are part of the Children of Israel and belong to the 10 Lost Tribes. Or read below to understand how the Turnabout Law works and will work in this situation.

This is why the Purim Story is so deep. Only after Haman was hung on the very gallows that he had prepared to hang Mordechai did it become crystal clear to everyone how HaShem had been present behind the scenes of the Megillah from the very beginning. Indeed, HaShem used Haman and Ahash’verosh [two arch-enemies who hated each other, but who made a pact with each other to destroy Israel] to unwittingly, and certainly against their will, bring about the Purim Miracle!

According to the Cosmic Rule of Turnabout, HaShem always uses the evil schemes of Israel’s enemies to bring about our salvation. The question is: Why do they hate us? What is it about us and our Torah that almost drives them crazy? What drives them to focus so much energy on making sure that we don’t exist?! Especially now, with anti-Semitism on the rise worldwide, and tremendous pressure being applied against Israel to relinquish massive tracts of its ancient homeland [as part of a plan to phase the Land and the People of Israel out of existence] – what are we do to?! If their covert intention is to, in the language of the Midrash from 1800 years ago, annihilate Israel from the annals of history – what are we to do? Oh what are we to do?

The answer is learn from the Megillah - See Below!.

Chapter 1

There is a hint to the reincarnation of Sarah the wife of Abraham since she was 127 years when she passed and Esther became Queen over 127 provinces.

This 180 day Party of Acheverosh is to “celebrate” the Jewish God's failure Chas VeShalom. At this party he asked Vashti to appear Nude to show her beauty. He brought out the spoils of the victory over the God of Israel by displaying the Temple items the Candelabra or Menorah, the Table, and He actually put on the Clothing of the High Priest per the Midrashim.

Chapter 2

The Kabbalah teaches us that Esther was put in place as Queen in order to Turnabout the plans of both Haman and Acheverosh.

We also lean from the Megillah that what was important to the opportunistic Acheverosh was the material and physical world. This is the same mistake made by Cain when he brought his offering to the Lord. He did not bring the best that he had. After all what does a immaterial God need with a material item?

Chapter 3

We learn the effect of attending the Parties in order to achieve business benefit against the spiritual loss of observing the Clothes of the High Priest and the other Temple objects being abused. Here is a great lesson in appeasement which was relearned in the second world war or was it? See the discussion of the two state plan in the modern media and apply the Turnabout Law to what you learn. Of course the two state plan will be put into effect and will last a short number of years until the turnabout law comes to manifest on that. There is a Prophecy that Jerusalem will be retaken by the Arabs and they will rule for a short time of approximately one year.

Chapter 4

Esther's Tikune is to correct Chava's Mistake. Chava allowed Death into the world. Esther as the reincarnation of both Chava and Sarah needs to correct this by risking her death to save her people. Yet she is afraid and declines. Mordechai then teaches us the spiritual lesson regarding soul roots having the ability to help each other with their Tikune when he says that someone will save the people but Esther has the merit to do so first.

Chapter 5

Esther corrects the sin of Chava. Yet she does so with a plan. Not directly. We learn from this that the enemies of the Jewish People must be allowed to plan their plans so that the Creator will create a turnabout to satisfy this spiritual Law.

Chapter 6

We learn that the Turnabout must follow its own sequence. This allows HaShem to clean the negativity in a balanced way.

Chapter 7

The Turnabout manifests as part of the plan of History.

Chapter 8 and 9

In the listing of the Names of the Sons of Haman there are three small letters. They are Tav Shin and Zion which is the name of the year 1946 in Hebrew (5707). This word Taf Shin Zion can be translated as "weak seven." Kabbalistically this refers to the negative Sefirot. Or it might refer to a weak generation of Jewish Souls.

Here is a description of the 10 Nazis hanged just after Rosh Hashana 5707.

On 1 October 1946, after 216 court sessions, the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg delivered its verdicts sentencing the leaders of the Nazi party to death by hanging.

The author of the following account, Kingsbury Smith of the International News Service, was chosen by LOT to represent the American press at the execution of eleven of those leaders. Due to one German committing suicide the night before He witnessed only 10.

Nuremberg Gaol, Germany

16 October 1946

International News Service

…Julius Streicher made his melodramatic appearance at 2:12 a.m.

While his manacles were being removed and his bare hands bound, this ugly, dwarfish little man, wearing a threadbare suit and a well-worn bluish shirt buttoned to the neck but without a tie (he was notorious during his days of power for his flashy dress), glanced at the three wooden scaffolds rising menacingly in front of him. Then he glanced around the room, his eyes resting momentarily upon the small group of witnesses.

By this time, his hands were tied securely behind his back. Two guards, one on each arm, directed him to Number One gallows on the left of the entrance. He walked steadily the six feet to the first wooden step but his face was twitching.

As the guards stopped him at the bottom of the steps for identification formality he uttered his piercing scream: 'Heil Hitler!'

The shriek sent a shiver down my back.

As its echo died away an American colonel standing by the steps said sharply, 'Ask the man his name.' In response to the interpreter's query Streicher shouted, 'You know my name well.'

The interpreter repeated his request and the condemned man yelled, 'Julius Streicher.'

As he reached the platform Streicher cried out, 'Now it goes to G-d.' He was pushed the last two steps to the mortal spot beneath the hangman's rope. The rope was being held back against a wooden rail by the hangman. Streicher was swung suddenly to face the witnesses and glared at them. Suddenly he screamed, 'Purim Fest 1946.' [Purim is a Jewish holiday celebrated in the spring, commemorating the execution of Haman, ancient persecutor of the Jews described in the Old Testament]…

Streicher had been a Nazi since early in the movement’s history. He was the editor and publisher of the anti-Semitic newspaper "Das Strummer." In May of 1924 Streicher wrote and published an article on Purim titled "Das Purimfest" (The Festival of Purim). In order to publish his vitriolic attack Streicher must have had a good deal of knowledge about Jewish thought and practice. However, we can only speculate to what extent he was aware of the remarkable parallels between Haman and his own execution. However, they are indeed striking:

“And the king said to Esther the queen, ‘The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the capital, and the ten sons of Haman...Now whatever your petition, it shall be granted; whatever your request further, it shall be done.’

Then said Esther, ‘If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews that are in Shushan to do tomorrow also as this day, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.’ ” (Esther 9:12-14)

If Haman’s ten sons had already been killed, how could they be hanged?

Our Sages comment on the word “tomorrow" in Esther's request: "There is a tomorrow that is now, and a tomorrow which is later." (Tanchuma, Bo 13 and Rashi, Shemot 13:14).

In the Megillah, the names of Haman’s ten sons are written very large and in two columns. This is in distinct contrast to the style of the rest of the Megillah The left-hand column contains the word v'et which means "and". Ten times. According to our Sages the word v'et is used to denote replication.

The inference is that another ten people were hanged in addition to Haman's ten sons.

If we examine the list of Haman's sons three letters are written smaller: The Tav of Parshandata, the Shin of Parmashta and the Zayin of Vizata.

Those three letters together form Tav-Shin-Zayin, the Jewish year 5707, which corresponds to the secular year 1946, the year that those ten Nazi criminals were executed.

The Nuremberg trials were a military tribunal and thus the method of execution was usually by firing squad. The court, however, prescribed hanging. Esther’s request "Let Haman's ten sons be hanged" echoes down the ages,

Equally uncanny is that the date of the execution (October 16, 1946) fell on "Hoshana Rabba" (21 Tishrei), the day on which G-d seals the verdicts of Rosh Hashana for the coming year.

As the Megillah recounts, a decree that the king has sealed cannot be rescinded, and thus Achashverosh had to promulgate a second decree to allow the Jewish People to defend themselves.

In other words, that first decree was never nullified.

Our Sages teach us that eventually the Jewish People will return to G-d either voluntarily, or if not, G-d will raise up another despot whose decrees will be “as severe as Haman” (Sanhedrin 97b).

Chanoch's Commentary

What is the purpose of this eerie coincidence?

Perhaps it is for people to be able to stop doubting that there is a God whose actions are perfectly Just. Perhaps these 10 Nazi's were reincarnation of the ten enemies of the Jewish people which tradition teaches us will reincarnate in the final days. After all the Iraqi Leader Hussein said he was a reincarnation of Nebuchanezer and the end of his Life was eerily similar to the punishment of Nebuchanezer living like an animal in the forest and Hussein living like an animal in an underground bunker.

(Esther 9:23 - This verse perhaps refers to the customs of Purim, but it is also understood to be a statement of re-dedication to tradition by the Jewish people. Perhaps this is a recommitment to the acceptance of the Torah at Mt Sinai. In our generation it may refer to the lower group of Jews who will continue their need to study Torah and do the Mitzvot in order to be able to master Mind Over Matter.

Chapter 10

The Mashiach will manifest after the Turnabout. He may even manifest the turnabout as did Mordechai. Yet we learn that the opportunistic people will be allowed to do Teshuvah and return to HaShem just as Achashverosh was allowed to keep his crown and his power but only when he utilized Mordechai the Mashiach properly.
