Week of September 27-28, 2010 Shabbat Yom Kippur 10th of Tishrai, 5770
Greetings! Most Jewish people consider Yom Kippur a fast day. The Kabbalists consider it a day of 5 Large meals of energy. They describe the First Amidah in the evening as the meal of Malchut; The morning Amidah - before the Torah reading as Zeir Anpin; The Amidah of Musaf as Binah; The Amidah of Mincha as Chochma; and the Amidah of Neilah as the Keter meal. Your consciousness will decide and your decision will impact your whole year. You are in control of your consciousness and that control called your Kavenah or intention that you put into your prayers during these 5 energy meals will determine the outcome of your year. Happy or Sad, fulfilled or not? You are in control. Just be happy today and attain the consciousness of AT ONE MENT or as some people say ATONEMENT. What is Atonement? It is the consciousness of "i made a mistake, please help me." What is AT ONE MENT? It is the consciousness of unity which allows us to control our year. The choice is yours! There are two Torah readings during Yom Kippur. The morning reading is 34 Verses about the service of the High Priest on Yom Kippur. The reading in the Mincha service has 30 verses and discusses what is usually described as Biblical incest. The total number of verses are 64 which is Sameck Dalet. This word means Support. With different vowels it can also mean Secret (Sameck Vav Dalet - Sod)in an incomplete way. The secret becomes complete with the verses we read in the Maftir. We must remember that this day has a purpose. It is the one day in the year that we can connect to Cosmic Binah which is the Cosmic Mikvah. It purifies the Jewish Nation - no matter what anyone did. As long as one has the consciousness of Teshuvah one will be purified. This happens on the 10th day of Tishrai. There are 22 days of Chagim in Tishrai. The 22 days represent the process of birth to maturity; they also represent all of the energy of the Hebrew Aleph Bet. Almost In the middle is the purification day of Yom Kippur preparing us for the second half of our maturation. What is not said above but must be understood. On Rosh HaShanah we all ran out of energy and were resurrected. We are not yet mature on the 10th of Tishrai and need the assistance of our Father HaShem to reach maturity on Simchat Torah. There is also a unique Haftara read during the Mincha Service of Yom Kippur. It is the book of Jonah. Jonah describes many spiritual lessons relating to Teshuvah for Jew and Gentile alike. One of the secrets in the book of Jonah are the names of the cities. Ninevah - where God tells Jonah to go and Tarshish which Jonah tries to go in defiance of God. The gematria of Ninevah is 121. The gematria of Tarshish is 1210. Tarshish actually represents the completion of Ninevah. In my opinion Jonah was not running from God's instructions ; he was trying to shorten the process. One can permute the name of the city Nineveh to be Nun Vav Nun Yood Hey. This can be translated as a fish of God or God's fish. A fish represents the idea of "no evil eye" in Kabbalah. Tarshish being the completion of Nineveh would have shortened the process of correcting Ayin Harah and its close associate Loshon HaRah. This is why we read this on Yom Kippur because the effect of eliminating Loshon Harah will bring about the resurrection of the dead which is another aspect of the Book of Jonah. The highest gift that HaShem has to give us for the next year is the removal of death - end of any kind. No business will ever fail when death is removed. No loss of any kind will appear in our world when death is removed. No relationships will end, when death is removed. No one will run out of money, or food, or housing, or anything they want, when death is removed. Ultimately, no one will die, when death is removed. Do you want to include this aspect into your vision of your life this coming year? don't you! All you have to do is think of it coming into being during this coming year in the life of the world. I tell people that i will live at least 300 more years. People laugh! Just because you have never met someone who lived 300 plus years does not mean that it did not happen. Open your minds to the potential that HaShem wants to give you. Please don't laugh - join me in our visualizing the end of death. Bila HaMavet LaNetzach. Together we can make it happen! Take nine sips of water as the last thing you consume with the special Kavenot described in earlier emails discussing Tisha B'AV.
