Parasha BeHar - "In or On the Mountain"

In the Torah

Torah: Parasha Emor - Leviticus Chapter 25 Verse 1 to Chapter 26 Verse 2

Haftara: Jeremiah Chapter 32 Verses 6 - 27

The essence - energy of Parasha Behar

The essence of Parasha Emor is Mind Over Matter. Mind Over Matter means i can do what ever i put my mind to accomplish.

There is actually three levels to this discusssion. One is Mind is Matter and that is our normal physical world. The next higher level is Mind Over Matter. This is the level of psychic abilities that allow us to build our human technology. It inclues science with the appearance that it is separated from Torah. The highest level is Mind Is Matter. This level integrates science with Torah and allows us to co create with the Creator. Even aspects of life.

The higher two levels require a degree of certainty. Certainty is the consciousness that i know it will come out the way i want it to. There are 3 levels of this as well. One is faith - the Hebrew word Emunah. One is Bitachon translation is "Trust". The highest is Vaday - certainty.

It also takes an understanding of the following spiritual principle. Space Creates Separation. On a physical level this is easy to understand. You are separated from me by distance and / or time. In this space that is an electron not being next to the nucleus lives the negative system. As i connect the electron with a proton to create a neutron within the Atom i reduce space and squeeze the negative system out of the earth. The more this happens meaning the more neutrons i create in each Atom the more certainty i generate in myself and the higher on the Mind / Matter scale i progress.

To learn more about these levels of Mind / Matter check the recordings of Class 16 of the basic series of classes.

Commentary from the Year

Parasha Behar:

Parasha Bechukotai:

The word Behar translates as "On the Mountain". It can also be "In the Mountain". What do you think is the difference? The kabbalah teaches that "on" is indicating external energy and "in" indicates internal energy. Do you want to focus on the internal or external when it comes to your happiness?

When one changes our internal essence the external changes also. This is not true when one changes the external. The internal does not change.

Kabbalah teaches that each soul came to this world and that only happens when a person decides to change themselves on the inside. Notice the flip of words "in" and "on".

Parasha Bechukotai:

Bechukotai translates as "You follow my laws". When we permute these letters the translation is more clear as "My Daughters Laws".

Kabbalah teaches that the code word Daughter means the Sefirah of Malchut and the Physical World. Also there are 3 words in Hebrew for laws. This one is Chok which indicates a law that makes no rational sense. An example of a Chok is the law of Tzitzitz especially having one blue thread out of four.

What are the Chok laws of the physical world? Throughout the history of the world the Tribe of Yehudah - the Jews still exist while the major Empires of Babylonia, Persia, Greek, and Romans have come and gone.

In the modern world Religion is a significant but declining element. Spirituality representing the inner essence of religion is changing. What are those changes?

Please do not think of physical causes; look for spiritual causes of physical changes.

Old Time Religious morality like - teen pregnancies - drug use and abuse - gang activity leading to murder - Increase in idol worship as defined by Kabbalah as something physical that can not be "lived without" - Increased mental disease - more homelessness - less Sabbath Observance - Less Honoring of the elderly by the Millennial generation than in previous generations.

All of the above relate to the Esser Debrot - 10 Utterances.

The question is are they true? Each of you need to decide the truth of these statements for yourself.

If you decide they are true, what will you change about what you do with respect to each of these moral issues? Remember Kabbalah teaches that the Torah has a higher level above morality that relates to metaphysical energy. These energy levels relate to the moral issues expressed above.

The number of Verses in this Parasha

There are 57 verses in this Parasha. The number 57 is the gematria of the word in Hebrew for sustenance. That word is Zan. This is connected to the idea of the Shemita years which provide sustenance based on your trust in HaShem.
