The essence - energy of This Reading.

This Reading is discussing Holiness and Holidays. What is Holiness? What are Holidays? Holidays are days that provide an Island of energy to renew ourselves. Some Holidays like Shabbat last a week meaning they provide the energy for a week. Some Holidays like Sukkot provide an energy for a year. Some Holidays like Rosh Chodesh provide this energy for a month.

The essence - energy of the Maftir Reading

this is a description of the actual Sacrifice which is called service or work of the Holiday of Sukkot.

It is important to realize that according to the Kabbalists, when one hears a Torah reading about a Holiday that they are credited in Heaven with actually doing that action and receiving the energy they would receive if they actually do that action. This is the Kavenah that one needs to have on Sukkot - each day of Sukkot

The energy of the Sukkot Torah Readings

Shabbat Chol HaMoed Sukkot:

The Mitzvot of the Sukkah is very important and is generally not recognized, in my opinion.

The Mitzvah is to move from your home and live in a temporary dwelling called a Sukkah that allows one to see the stars at night. The message of this aspect of the Mitzvah is to "get out of your comfort zone". Why does HaShem want you to go out of your comfort zone? The answer is you expand your vessel - your desire to receive by going out of your comfort zone. Why does HaShem want us to expand our desire to receive? This answer is that only expanding our desire to receive allows HaShem to share more of His goodness with us.

Do you want more of the Goodness of HaShem? Then move into a Sukka during the Holiday of Sukkot.

Another Mitzvah during the Holiday is the Sacrificing of 70 Bulls. These Bulls represent the sharing of energy that only the Children of Israel may draw into our physical world. This sharing is for specifically all of the 70 nations of the world. When the Nations are fulfilled by this sharing there is no lack in / with that nation that manifests as anti-semitism.

A third Mitzvah that one learns from the Sukkot readings is balance. That is why the last phrase in the last verse of the reading is the famous verse of "do not cook a calf in its mothers milk.". This is the essence of the laws of Kashrut. Most people are never informed that these regulations help us maintain balance in our lives by not eating things that have too much mixed energy. This is explained by this phrase dealing with Milk a food that has the energy of continuity and cooking a slaughtered cow which represents the energy of death or end. When this is done people with the souls of the Children of Israel find it difficult to balance these two energies. This is also true for every human being.
