Kabbalistic Analysis on Second Samuel Chapter 13 Verse 6

This verse relates to any person whose name starts with a Vav and ends in a Hai. The Kabbalah teaches that every verse in the Tanach speaks to every person in every generation. It also explains that when a verse from the Tanach starts with a Hebrew letter and ends with a Hebrew letter that is the same as your Name when spelled with Hebrew Letters is an indication that this verse has special significance to that person. It is recommended that one speak this verse each day at least three times each day. Once in the evening, once in the morning, and once in the afternoon. There is a specific location in the prayer known as the Amidah - standing prayer which is said 3 times a day in the Orthodox and Conservative traditions. If not just say the verse with a preceding Leshem Yichud.

One can find discussion of the Leshem Yichud on the yeshshem website.

Second Samuel Chapter 13 Verse 6 In Hebrew Letters

ו וַיִּשְׁכַּב אַמְנוֹן, וַיִּתְחָל; וַיָּבֹא הַמֶּלֶךְ לִרְאוֹתוֹ, וַיֹּאמֶר אַמְנוֹן אֶל-הַמֶּלֶךְ תָּבוֹא-נָא תָּמָר אֲחֹתִי וּתְלַבֵּב לְעֵינַי שְׁתֵּי לְבִבוֹת, וְאֶבְרֶה, מִיָּדָהּ.

Vayishchav Amnon, Vayetchal; Vayavoh Hamelech Leeroto, Vayomer Amnon El Hamelech Tavoh Na Tamar Achte Utlabav Leahnai Shetay Levavot, Vehvreh, Meyadah.

Traditional Translation

So Amnon lay down, and feigned himself sick; and when the king was come to see him, Amnon said unto the king: 'Let my sister Tamar come, I pray thee, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat at her hand.'

Peshat Explanation of the Verse

The simple understanding of this verse is that it is a plan of Amnon to be able to lie with his sister Amnon.

There is a discussion within the verse of a request to "the King". We learn in the story of Esther when the King is mentioned without a human name it is referring to HaShem.

Translation discussion

The name Amnon can be translated as "Mother is related to the 50 Gates" or "Mother is Binah".

Number of Words

There are 20 words in this verse. The number 20 represents the 10 sefirot of direct light in unity with the 10 sefirot of returning light.

Number of Letters

There are 86 letters with all the letters. The number 86 refers to the gematria of the Hebrew word Elohim. This is a Name of God that refers to Judgment. It also can be referring to the 70 Angelic Leaders as well as the Hebrew word Hatevah which means "nature".

Kabbalistic Analysis

Let us take the first letters of each word as this develops a Name or word that encapsulates the energy of the verse. Here are the first letters: ואווהלואאהתנתאולשלום. The Kabbalists teach us to permutate the letters as Rabbi Bag Bag teaches "Turn it Turn it as everything is in it". This refers to rearranging the letters to read different aspects within the verse. Here is my suggestion - although it is best if the individual does this themselves if they have a Hebrew Dictionary.

֓The letters permute into 8 words as follows: אות והו אל שלום אות נתה או . The words permuted from right to left are Oht = letters or signs; Vav Hai Vav = 72 Name of God 1 and also 49; El = "to" as well as a Name of God relating to Binah; Shalom = Peace which is a Name of God that relates to the Sefirah of Malchut after Malchut is corrected; Oht = letters or signs; Nun Tav Hai = 72 Name of God 25 which connects to "speak your mind"; Alef Vav = in gematria of 7.

Thus this year will be a year of people "speaking their minds" as well as recognizing that El and Shalom are approaching closer to each other which is related to the Mashiach generation. Also people will use the 7 double letters and letters of the Name Vav Hai Vav for both "time travel and happiness.

Here is another interpretation: People will speak their minds using the letters and signs of the year about striving for happiness while others will use the letters to travel forward in time to the manifestation of Mashiach. They will utilize the unity of El with Shalom - Binah with Malchut to achieve this.

Note that there are many other permutations that can be revealed and it is recommended that everyone do this for themselves.
