It is best to study the Zohar in the following manner:

SYNOPSIS:

We read about those people who have knowledge of the mysteries of the Torah and who receive their souls from the aspect of the holy Malchut of Atzilut, including all ten Sfirot. They keep the Torah and the precepts with love and awe of God, not for the sake of receiving any reward. There is also a Malchut of Briyah; this is Malchut to the angels in Briyah, and she is a maid to Malchut of Atzilut, having her form comprised of ten Sfirot. However, this Malchut may be desecrated because of the sins of Yisrael. The Faithful Shepherd says that not all demons are alike and not all the servants of the Shechinah are alike; she even has some foreign servants of the Other Side who serve her.

וְאִית אַחֲרָנִין מָארֵי סִתְרֵי תּוֹרָה, מָארֵי מִדּוֹת, דְּאִינּוּן יָרְתִין נִשְׁמָתִין מִסִּטְרָא דְּמַלְכוּתָא קַדִּישָׁא, דְּאִיהוּ כְּלִילָא מֵעֲשַׂר סְפִירָן. דְּמַאן דְּיָרִית לָהּ, וְזָכֵי לָהּ, זָכֵי לַעֲשַׂר סְפִירָן בְּלָא פִּרוּדָא, עֲשַׂר וְלָא תְּשַׁע, דְּאִי הֲווֹ יָרְתִין לְמַלְכוּתָא יְחִידָאָה, הֲווֹ תְּשַׁע בְּפֵרוּדָא מִנָהּ, בְּגִין דְּלֵית תַּמָּן פִּרוּדָא, אָמַר בַּעַל סֵפֶר יְצִירָה עֶשֶׂר וְלֺֹא תֵּשַׁע.

Translation

There are others who have knowledge of the mysteries of the Torah, men of qualities, who receive souls from the aspect of the holy Malchut OF ATZILUT, which includes ten Sfirot. Whoever receives her and attains her, merits ten indivisible Sfirot, ten, not nine, since had they inherited Malchut alone the nine Sfirot would have been separated from her. But since there is no division there, IN ATZILUT, the author of the Book of Formation said 'ten, not nine', WHICH MEANS THAT THE NINE UPPER SFIROT ARE NEVER APART FROM HER.

וְאִי תֵּימָא דִּסְלִיקַת לְעֵילָּא מֵעֲשַׂר. שְׁמָא מְפֺרָשׁ יוֹ"ד הֵ"א וָא"ו הֵ"א, הָא עֲשַׂר, יוֹ"ד דְּמִתְיַיחֵד בָּהּ, וְלָא סְלִיק לְעֵילָּא מֵעֲשַׂר. וּבְגִין דָּא י', וְלָא י"א. אֲבָל מַאן דִּמְחַבֵּר יוֹ"ד, דְּאִיהִי אוֹת בְּרִית, בְּשִׁפְחָה. וּמַטְרוֹנִיתָא כְּלִילָא מִי', בְּשֵׁד דע"ז סָמָאֵ"ל אִתְּדָּן בַּגֵיהִנָּם.

Translation

You may say that MALCHUT rises above the ten, AND IS THERE ALONE. HE ANSWERS, the explicit Name Yud Vav Dalet, Hei Aleph, Vav Aleph Vav, Hei Aleph, WHICH COMPRISES TEN LETTERS, is the ten Sfirot OF ZEIR ANPIN, and the ten SFIROT, WHICH ARE ZEIR ANPIN, unite with her, WITH MALCHUT, and she does not rise above the ten OF ZEIR ANPIN, BUT NEVER SEPARATES FROM HIM. Hence THE AUTHOR OF THE BOOK OF FORMATION SAYS, 'ten, not eleven'. But whoever joins Yud (= 10), which is the sign of the covenant, WHICH IS YESOD, with the maidservant, or JOINS the Matron that includes the Yud with the demon of idol worship that is Samael is punished in Gehenom.

chanoch's Commentary

The spiritual system is able to be used by both the positive system and the negative system. When one does negative actions like witchcraft or other aspects of the negative system that actually unifies the ten sefirot of Zeir Anpin with the negative aspect of Malchut which is called the hand maid or if Samael is unified with the 10 Sefirot of Zeir Anpin Chas V'Shalom the effect is to require cleansing in Gehinom which is the fires of Hell. also realize that the effect is always Midah Keneged Midah and that signifies that some of these effects are within the coldness of Gehinom.

דְּמַאן דְּיָרִית בְּרַתָּא דְּמַלְכָּא מַלְכוּת, לָא זָכֵי לָהּ, אֶלָּא בְּרָא דְּמַלְכָּא, דְּאִתְקְרֵי בְּנִי בְכוֹרִי יִשְׂרָאֵל, דְּמִסְטְרָא דָּא אִתְקְרִיאוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּנִין לְקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא, הה"ד בָּנִים אַתֶּם לַיְיָ' אֱלֹהֵיכֶם, וּמַלְכוּת דָּא דַּאֲצִילוּת.

Translation

Whoever inherits the King's daughter, who is Malchut, merits her only if he is the King's son called, "Yisrael is my son, my firstborn" (Shemot 4:22). For from that aspect Yisrael are called children of the Holy One, blessed be He, as meant by, "You are the children of Hashem your Elohim" (Devarim 14:1). This is Malchut of Atzilut.

chanoch's Commentary

Every human being is potentially able to rise to he level of consciousness called a "Son of God". This only occurs when Chochmah and Wisdom are united and this only takes place in the world of ATzilut. Let me repeat this as it is important to realize - only when one has unified Malchut with Zeir Anpin in the world of Atzilut does one rise to the level of consciousness called "Malchut of Atzilut" or becoming a "Son of HaShem. This only happens to a couple who are married. No matter who you are married to this only occurs when you are connected to your cosmic soul mate. This is because there is never any separation in the world of Atzilut.

וְאִית לְקַבְּלָהּ מַלְכוּת דִּבְרִיאָה, וְאִיהִי מַלְכוּת לְמַלְאָכִים דִּבְרִיאָה. וְאִיהִי נַעֲרָה דְּמַטְרוֹנִיתָא, מְשַׁמְּשָׁא דִּילָהּ, וְאִיהִי דִּיּוּקְנָא דִּגְבִירְתָּא דִּילָהּ, כְּלוּלָה מִי'. הַאי בְּחוֹבִין דְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, יָכִילַת לְאִתְחַלְּלָא בֵּין אוּמִין דְּעָלְמָא. אֲבָל מַלְכוּת דַּאֲצִילוּת דְּקוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא, עָלָהּ אִתְּמַר אֲנִי יְיָ' הוּא שְׁמִי וּכְבוֹדִי לְאַחֵר לֺֹא אֶתֵּן וּתְהִלָּתִי לַפְּסִילִים, לָא יָהִיב לָהּ לְמַאן דִּמְחַלֵּל שַׁבָּתוֹת וְיָמִים טוֹבִים, אֶלָּא לְמַאן דְּאִיהוּ בְּרָא דְּמַלְכָּא, וְנָטִיר אוֹרַיְיתָא וּפִקּוּדִין, בִּדְחִילוּ וּרְחִימוּ דְּמָארֵיהּ, וְלָא עַל מְנָת לְקַבֵּל פְּרָס, אֶלָּא כְּבֵן דְּאִיהוּ מְחוּיָב לְמֶעְבַּד צִוּוּיֵיהּ דַּאֲבוֹי, דְּעָלֵיהּ אִתְּמַר כַּבֵּד אֶת אָבִיךָ וְאֶת אִמֶּךָ. אֶת אָבִיךָ: דָּא קוּדְשָׁא בְּרִיךְ הוּא. וְאֶת אִמֶּךָ: דָּא שְׁכִינְתָּא. וְעִם כָּל דָּא, מַאן דִּמְחַלֵּל נַעֲרָה דְּמַלְכָּא, אִתְחֲשִׁיב לֵיהּ כְּאִלּוּ מְחַלֵּל מַטְרוֹנִיתָא דִּילֵיהּ.

Translation

There is a corresponding Malchut of Briyah, which is Malchut to the angels in Briyah. She is a maid to Malchut OF ATZILUT and her attendant. She has the form of her mistress OF ATZILUT, comprised of ten SFIROT. THIS MALCHUT OF BRIYAH, because of the iniquities of Yisrael, might be desecrated among the nations of the world. But of Malchut of Atzilut of the Holy One, blessed be He, it says, "I am Hashem, that is My name, and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to carved idols" (Yeshayah 42:8). For He gives her not to him who desecrates Shabbat and holidays but to him who is the King's son and keeps the Torah and the precepts with love and awe of his Master, not for the sake of receiving a reward but as a child who is obligated to do his father's bidding, of which it says, "Honor your father and your mother" (Shemot 20:12). Your father is the Holy One, blessed be He, and your mother is the Shechinah. Nevertheless, whoever desecrates the King's maid, WHO IS MALCHUT OF BRIYAH, is considered as if he violated His Queen.

chanoch's Commentary

This pasuk is describing people who try to accomplish the unity of zeir anpin with malchut when they have not risen to the proper level of consciousness. They think they have arrived and then find out they have not do to the chaos that comes into their lives. In earlier generations this was possible due to the power of their desire to receive for oneself alone. In our generation there are protections from allowing the tools of Kabbalah from being used in this distorted way.

Pasook 38. from the Zohar Sulam Commentary on Parasha Ki Teitzei

וְרַבָּנָן, כָּל שֵׁדִין לָאו אִינּוּן שְׁקוּלִין, וְלָא כָּל עַבְדִּין דִּשְׁכִינְתָּא, דִּכְתִּיב בָּהּ, וּמַלְכוּתוֹ בַּכֺּל מָשָׁלָה. אִית לָהּ כַּמָה נַעֲרוֹת עִבְרִיּוֹת, וּשְׁפָחוֹת עִבְרִיּוֹת. וְאִית לָהּ עֲבָדִים וּשְׁפָחוֹת נָכְרִיּוֹת, בְּגִין דְּלָא יִשְׁתְּכַּח מַלְכוּתָא אָחֳרָא בְּעָלְמָא, בְּזִמְנָא דְּאִיהִי שַׁלְטָא.

Translation

HEAR, sages, not all demons are alike, and not all the servants of the Shechinah ARE ALIKE, since it is written of her, OF THE SHECHINAH, "and His kingdom rules over all" (Tehilim 103:19). She has some Hebrew maids, WHO ARE MALCHUYOT OF BRIYAH, and Hebrew maidservants, WHO ARE MALCHUYOT OF ASIYAH. She has foreign servants and maidservants OF THE OTHER SIDE, WHO SERVE HER, so there shall be no other Malchut in the world when she rules. THEREFORE EVEN THE OTHER SIDE IS SUBSERVIENT TO HER THEN AND DOES HER BIDDING.
