Zohar Pekudai - When the Wicked Sprout Like Grass

Section 9

Parasha Pekudei Section 9. "WHEN THE WICKED SPROUT LIKE GRASS"

i recommend one not to read the Synopsis until after one has read or scanned the Aramaic and then the English translation. Otherwise you are being directed by the consciousness of the writer of the synopsis. This makes you an effect rather than a cause. We came to the physical world to be a cause - to be a co-creator.

SYNOPSIS:

Rabbi Aba, Rabbi Yosi and Rabbi Chizkiyah are studying the Torah together, and Rabbi Chizkiyah wonders why God is so patient in judging the wicked. He says that Rabbi Shimon told him this is because the judgment that God desires is a clear, loving and joyful judgment. He does not want the judgment of defilement; therefore he doesn't mix the two. He will refrain from judging the wicked until evil is lost from the World to Come. Then Rabbi Shimon talks about "When the wicked sprout like grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed forever," and explains that the wicked shall be severed from their roots. One more explanation of God's patience is that this world is part of the Other Side and it is opposed to the World to Come that is part of the side of holiness. One is destined for the wicked and the other for the righteous.

Pasook 61. of Zohar Parasha Pekudai

Rabbi Aba and Rabbi Yosi and Rabbi Chizkiyah were sitting and studying the Torah. Rabbi Chizkiyah said to Rabbi Aba: Indeed we see that the Holy One, blessed be He desires to have Judgment upon everything, so the two will mix together, JUDGMENT AND MERCY. Nevertheless, He withholds Judgment from the wicked of the world. Why, if He is desirous of Judgment, remove it from the evil? NAMELY, WHY IS HE SO PATIENT? He said to him: How many mountains, WISE MEN, have been uprooted by this, NOT KNOWING THE TRUE MEANING THEREOF. But the holy luminary revealed several things concerning the matter.

chanoch's Commentary

When the Zohar says certain people are sitting and studying these men represent certain levels of consciousness called Sefirot. It is good for you to try to determine which Sefirot are being represented. This will help you to connect permanently to the Sefirot level of consciousness.

Pasook 62. of Zohar Parasha Pekudai

Come and see: The Judgment that the Holy One, blessed be He is desirous of, is a clear Judgment, that stirs love and joy, NAMELY, THE JUDGMENT OF THE LEFT COLUMN AFTER JOINING THE RIGHT COLUMN, TO BECOME THE SECRET OF THE WINE THAT MAKES GLAD ELOHIM AND MEN, AND IS ALSO THE SECRET OF GOLD. But the wicked, when in the world, are under Judgment of defilement, the Judgment which the Holy One, blessed be He does not want at all. Therefore, there must not be mixing of the holy Judgment with the defiled Judgment, until THE DEFILED JUDGMENT is exterminated of itself, and causes EVIL to be lost from the World that is Coming, for the defiled Judgment in it causes it to be destroyed.

chanoch's Commentary

This Pasook explains that HaShem loves judgment of the Right Column. He also loves judgment of the left column when it is joined with the Right Column. Why would HaShem love judgment when human beings tend to stay away from judgment? This is because HaShem wants to reward each and every human with all that they have earned. When someone does a good deed they earn a positive judgment. What is being hinted to in this pasook is that each and every person will become Righteous and earn positive judgment. HaShem will not make judgment day happen until He can make all people positive and the judgments positive.

We do not understand how this can happen yet it can. Positive judgment will prevail based on the process that HaShem has decreed. It may take 7 groups of 7000 years for this to happen and this is what will happen.

It may also be explained when we realize that a judgment that implies cleansing is a positive judgment and eventually we will all see that this is positive and not negative.

Pasook 63. of Zohar Parasha Pekudai

He opened the discussion and said: "When the wicked sprout like grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed forever" (Tehilim 92:8). This verse was explained. Nevertheless, come and see: "the wicked sprout like grass" MEANS just as grass on dry land becomes dry. And when it is given water, it blooms and the dryness disappears. Like a cut tree, when it flourishes again, grows only side branches growing upwards, but never a whole tree, as was before, NAMELY "THE WORKERS OF INIQUITY FLOURISH." And all that happens so "they shall be destroyed forever," that is, they will be severed from their root and from everything else.

chanoch's Commentary

What is the meaning of the workers of iniquity shall be destroyed forever due to being severed from their root and everything else. Have you ever been to a Friday Night or Saturday Chalah Blessing procedure in some synagogues. Everyone is attached to everyone else. Some pay attention and some do not. Some have Kavenah and some do not. If any one person is torn asunder from the other then anyone attached to that one is disconnected unless they have a connection to another place in the community. What the Zohar teaches is that no one will be disconnected from the Creator or everyone will be disconnected from the negative system. ALL WILL BE GROWN TO ATTACH TO THE POSITIVE SYSTEM AND RECEIVE THEIR REWARD FOR THEIR POSITIVE ACTIONS. ALL NEGATIVE ACTIONS WILL BE DISGARDED AND REMOVED FROM EXISTENCE. This is the meaning of this Pasook.

Pasook 64. of Zohar Parasha Pekudai

There is yet another secret in this, why the Holy One, blessed be He is long-suffering with the wicked in this world. It is because this world is the portion of the Other Side, and the World that is Coming is part of the side of holiness, and the portion of the righteous, where they will be adorned by the crown of the glory of their Master. These two sides stand the one against the other, THE WORLD THAT IS COMING, the side of holiness and THIS WORLD, the Other Side, that of defilement. This is destined for the righteous and that for the wicked. And all this corresponds to all that. Happy are the righteous, who have no part in this world, but in the World to Come.

chanoch's Commentary

To understand this Pasook one must learn that the world that is coming is actually in this world. It is just an aspect of consciousness that one must strive to see.
