Zohar Pinchas - Section 22 - Your Eyes Like Pools In Cheshvan

It is recommended to study the section prior to reading the Synopsis.

Zohar Sulam Commentary on Parasha Pinchas Section 22

It is best to study the Zohar in the following manner:

1. Read out loud the Aramaic Verse. If you need to transliterate in order to read with the sounds of the lettersthe verse see below. If you use the transliteration tool than make sure you scan the Aramaic first and last.

2. Read the English Translation - if you desire to understand and realize that your understanding will limit the energy you receive. This is why it is important to scan the aramaic verse first.

3.Write out your understanding of the verse. Send it to yeshshem@hotmail.com in an email. Use the Parasha Name and verse number in the subject. By sending your understanding you give yeshshem.com permission to post this to web page and any other uses Yeshshem may see a beneficial use.

4. Now read chanoch's Commentary or additions to enhance and or modify your own personal understanding.

SYNOPSIS:

Rabbi Yosi is prompted by the shade of Rabbi Pinchas ben Yair to remember the esoteric explanation of the accounting of the numerical values of letters.

Relevance of the Passage

Both science and Kabbalah understand that mathematical numbers are interwoven into the fabric of reality. Moreover, letters and their alphabetic structure are also an integral part of reality. For instance, the DNA in our cells consist of four chemical letters "“ A, T, C, and G "“ which refer to four different nucleotides. These four nucleotides combine to create 20 amino acids, which produce the "words" and "sentences" composing the genetic code of every individual. This alphabetic structure extends to all physical matter. Just as letters combine to form words, atoms combine to create more complicated structures such as molecules. Just as words combine to form sentences, molecules combine to create various kinds of matter. Here we connect to the metaphysical DNA level of reality "“ the letters of the Hebrew Alphabet. We link up with the dimension of Chochmah and Binah causing sparkling pools of Light to fill our existence. The concept of counting, according to Kabbalah, indicates control. Thus, here we attain control over the stars and planets, altering our fate to secure an immediate and sweet Final Redemption.

Pasook 139. from the Zohar Sulam Commentary on Parasha Pinchas

Transliteration

Please use a Transliteration tool to read the Aramaic Verses. This enhances the energy transfer since it uses both sight of the Hebrew Letters and Sound as well. You may find a transliteration tool on the dailyzohar website or through an internet search for "Hebrew Transliteration".

Translation

Rabbi Yosi said: It is written: "counting one thing to another, to find out the sum (Heb. cheshbon)" (Kohelet 7:27), AND HE ASKED: the calculation (Heb. chesbon) of numerical value pertains to the moon, WHICH IS MALCHUT, but in which of her levels? He did not answer, but said: I have heard this matter, but do not remember it. That shade arose and hit Rabbi Aba in the eyes. He fell on his face out of fear, and while he was still lying on his face, a verse came to him, that is written: "Your eyes like the pools in Heshbon, by the gate of Bat-rabbim" (lit. 'daughter of many')" (Shir Hashirim 7:5). THE EXPLANATION IS: This refers to the eyes OF MALCHUT, NAMELY HER CHOCHMAH WHICH IS CALLED 'EYES', and they are appetizers, NAMELY DELICACIES to the divine Chochmah which is drawn from above, FROM BINAH, AND HER EYES are filled by reckoning and solstices, equinoxes and intercalation of the moon and become pools flowing out from the right in all directions until they are counted in every account and intercalation of the moon from the outside, NAMELY OF THE EXTERNAL PARTS OF MALCHUT, also of the stars and the constellations in order to reach a sum. And this is "by the gate of Bath-rabbim," which is the moon, WHICH IS MALCHUT, from the outside.

chanoch's Commentary

This pasuk is clear as written, with Rabbi Ashlag's commentary. Regular Gematria is Malchut of Chochmah of Malchut of the external level. This is my opinion.
