Torah: Parasha HaAzinu - Deuteronomy - Devarim Chapter 32 Verse 1 to Verse 52
Haftara: 2nd Samuel Chapter 22 Verses 1 - 51
There are 52 Verses in this Parasha. 52 is the gematria of HaShem's Name when spelled out with Hai's. It is the Name associated with Zeir Anpin. This Name has 9 Letters which connects to the Sefira of Yesod.
This parasha is always read after Rosh HaShana and / or Yom Kippur. This year it is being read after Yom Kippur. It is being read as the manifested energy of the energy of Shabbat Shuva which was read yesterday. This Parasha is the admonition to the Children of Israel before the fact. it is also the energy of forgiveness before the mistake and that is actually the energy of Teshuva which was created prior to the actual creation of the Universe.
Commentary for the year 5778
The shoresh or root of the word HaAzinu is Ozen which translates as "ear". The parasha calls on Heaven and Earth to give an ear or to listen to human activity in order to be a witness to HaShem.
This Parasha is unique in the way it is written in the Torah Scroll. It is written in the shape of 2 triangles. These triangles form the shape of the Magen David - the shield or star of David. To form the Shield it takes the consciousness of a human being to put these two triangles together to form the 6 pointed star.
The essence of this Parasha is about consciousness. When this parasha is heard it gives the listener the ability to know that death is an illusion and that there is no need for any physical death at all.
Many people find this statement above as impossible. If you think this you condemn yourself to death. If you consider this statement as potentially true you might not have to die. The choice is yours. This is called a leap of faith. Religions have been speaking of this leap of faith for generations. We have the potential to manifest this truth in our lifetimes. In our generation it is taught that we will have a difficulty with the time to truly study all 10 levels of Torah. The ARI put together a scheule of daily study that generally takes about 1/2 hour or less except for Friday and many people make that additional time up on Shabbat. This schedule is referred to as Chok L'Israel.
Here are links to the 7 daily studies including an English translation of the Zohar portion that refers to the energy of the day. Each day has a link to the Zohar English translation. This translation needs commentary yet i do not have the time yet so be careful in your own personal reading. there is a hidden agenda in the translation.
